    Great Little Drive Bay.
A great unit, I use it mostly as a drive dock and it works great at getting the max speed out of my drives, the USB cable it comes with is a good length and feels like is made with good quality materials. Overall easy to connect and use.

    very handy
I had a couple hard drives from old PC’s I wasn’t sure what to do with. This little thing works great, now i have a lot more storage on my PC.

Works as advertised, hot plugging drives reconnects the whole unit.
I only tested it with hdd (no ssd) and I was able to copy files from one disk to the other via windows at the max speed of the slowest of the 2 hdd, as expected. It was able to recognize disk > 2tb but I don’t have anything to test >= 4tb, it advertises support for 16tb.One quirk is that if you start with one disk the hotplug a second, it will first disconnect then both disk will reconnect, some 3.5” disk take a little as they spin up but of the 6 or 7 I tested none failed. I am not sure hotplug is safe just stating the observed behavior.I did not test the one button clone feature as that’s not something I need.During a few 5h long sessions of data copy it never disconnected … the disks can get hot (especially the 7200 kind) independently of this unit but because they are mostly exposed an external fan pointed at the unit at an angle kept them cool. For the price I am happy, I used it quite extensively for a couple of weeks and it worked well for my use case (aka hdd file copy), time will tell if it’s also durable.

Good Buy for Dedicated Solid State Backup Drives
Bought this to use as backup for multiple pc’s and so far it’s been just what I needed. It was easy to operate, simple to connect to several different hard drives, speed was acceptable, (not lightning fast, but good enough) and easy to disconnect. I paired it with KingSpec 2TB 2.5″ SATA SSD, SATA III 6Gb/s Internal Solid State Drive – 3D NAND Flash TLC and only use it periodically to access items I don’t have on any of my other backup devices.

    Worked exactly as advertised.
Unlike my five year old ‘well known brand’ Hard Drive Docking Station with the same advertised features this one actually has a working automatic ‘disk clone’ feature.I didn’t need the automatic ‘disk clone’ feature until recently, that’s when I discovered that the automatic ‘disk clone’ feature was a fraud on the old ‘well known brand’ unit.

    Not the greatest hub
I never used this device to clone any hard drives. I did however find that the device did not work well as a hub when two drives are connected. Transfer speed was too slow. I will be returning this purchase.
