Sounds Fantastic
This little amp sounds fantastic, the TPA3255 chip is amazing.The sound is clear and articulate. The build quality is great, very sturdy. The amp nor power supply never got even a hint of warm, they ran cool even at over half volume for an hour. The amplifier has plenty of power, even though I was driving fairly efficient speakers, they played plenty loud at half volume so there is plenty of headroom.So why the 1 star off?1. The speaker terminals are not spaces for the ganged banana plugs, so I had to switch speaker cables to my separate set.2. The “Pre out” is not controlled by the volume. So your SUB is at full volume regardless of main speaker volume. The PRE out should be controlled by the volume control, otherwise you have to keep adjusting the SUB volume. To get around this, you need a SUB with speaker level inputs and wire your main speakers from the SUB. Hassle!3. No BT

Superb sound – basic device with no Bluetooth 🙂
I swapped out an old/failing amplifier of relatively similar design. I specifically was looking for a simple RCA (input) to amplified speaker (output) amp, and that was rather hard to find. Most amplifiers now have Bluetooth and/or WiFi which is wholly unnecessary for my application. I am using this in conjunction with an Apple Airport Express (via AirPlay 2) to stream music to my wired speakers. The amplifier and Airport Express are buried in a utility closet, and I have a power switch and volume control in the living area. The power switch enables the power supply to the amplifier, which I figure will reduce idle power consumption and increase the life of the amplifier. The volume control is sufficient for trimming the volume of the speakers. I can stream from my Apple iPhone or any other Airplay 2 device. My HomePod mini can even be used to either stream to it (exclusively) or with it (both playing music).My setup is rather complicated, but the part that this amplifier plays is simple, and it does it exceptionally well: amplify.I paired this amplifier with a pair of 4Ω 200W RMS speakers. These work OK with the included 32V/5A power supply but even better with the 48V/10A supply that I had in this system already. Most amplifiers in this arena seem to have external power supplies and can accept up to 48V, yet they seem to ship with smaller 24V-36V power supplies. Personally, the upgrade to 48V was noticeable with my speakers and worth it for me.
