Better than you can imagine
Better than you could imagine? OK it didn’t get sent to me for free, except the shipping was, but it is one of the best $20 belts I have ever bought. No corners cut and very durable. Has a great buckle and good quality thick leather.. Would suggest you buy at least 2in larger than waist size. mine fit perfect but if you want a little extra room to move a slightly larger size is recommended. This is a very nice belt. I have bought dozens and dozens over the years and this one is a stand out. shoild hold up for a good amount of time and look good doing it. The 40mm I bought just fits on pants with larger belt loops. Wouldn’t try it on slacks with the narrow loops although the same style of belt can be bought in narrower sizez. Levi made a winner here and Amazon made it affordable and easy to find. Safe buy anytime.

*Update! Original review below for reference. This belt ended being fine and quite sturdy in the end. I can recommend it as an inexpensive, everyday belt. Changed my review from 3 to 4 stars.*This belt felt generally pretty cheap and not very durable overall when I first got my hands on it. The price was fairly inexpensive, so I thought to give it a go anyway. It fits just a tad too small. Fits as described I suppose, but if you prefer two or three or more extra holes for some “wiggle room”, I’d go a size larger. This one (for a 32″ waist) will fit with only one pair of holes remaining. If I were to somehow “grow” a little in an undesired way around my waistline, I might be SOL with this belt.The worst part about this belt is that there is an unnecessarily textured roller to grab onto the leather of the belt. This mildly “spikey” roller is already marking my belt with significant wear after only one week of use (see photos). Because of this, I wouldn’t be surprised if it caused the leather to be actually worn through (!) from repeated use, perhaps even within a year or two..!In the end, I’d say go elsewhere for a belt unless you are okay with your leather belt wearing out quickly. Personally, I’m used to my belts lasting 10 or more years. I could not recommend this belt in good conscience. Good luck.

Alleged to have fit the recepient
This belt allegedly fitted the individual for whom it was purchased. Nothing further was reported. I will update on its reversibility, durability and value for money. It is not a soft belt but it is not too hard either. It was bought as a gift and I was told it fit.

Extremely nice Levi’s belt in the vary difficult to find anymore double prong setup! The leather is thick – but is somewhat dry so I’m going to be conditioning the leather with a small amount of mineral oil and hair conditioner! The double retaining straps are very much appreciated! The bucket seems durable and should provide long life! My other belt is 32 years old – but still working! Blue Notes circa 1990 in Italian leather. Hopefully this bridle leather is just as good but it is fairly stiff and should be conditioned!This replacement Levi’s screams quality! 40 mm (4 cm) wide! Okay – lots of debate about sizing! I have a 33 inch waist but I wear 34 inch waist pants….partly because 33 inch sizes are often difficult to find in pants but also because sometimes I like extra room for bending, and getting them off easier, etc. This 38 belt is 45 inches from tip to tip or 44 inches excluding the buckle! Measurement from leather end on bucket to the centre set of holes is 37.5 inches! This belt fits me very well if I pull it tight it leaves two sets of holes free to go tighter if I could….but would have to have a 32 waist to do so (I can’t…too tight). If I pull it comfortable it leaves three sets of holes free on either side! I understand it defies logic with a 38 belt that it fits my 34 inch waist perfectly but it does!!!! It also leaves enough belt to pass through the double retainer straps with about 3 inches coming out the other side, past the last retainer strap. The pictures I’ve included to clear this sizing issue up don’t lie! Based on what I’m observing this black 38 Levi’s belt is good for 33-36 inch waist sizes! I can not speak to other sizes but hopefully I have helped some people who are thinking about going with the 34 belt vrs tge 38 belt …. If you are 33-36 I would go with the 38 belt. If you are 28 – 32 inch waist size – I would go with the 34 inch size! The 36 belt is no longer available so that’s a non-debate item anyways! So yes – those that said order two belt sizes up are correct!!!!! Or order four inches more than your waist size are correct!!!! If you’re a 34 inch waist then 34 + 4 = 38! Excellent belt!
