Great feel good movie!
Yannick Bisson’s (of Murdock Mysteries fame) first movie when he was about 16. He had the acting chops even then. Great feel good movie with a message.

… was old and worn so I am definitely was glad to replace it with a DVD
I had the movie in VHS and the tape was old and worn so I am definitely was glad to replace it with a DVD. There were some parts that were deleted from the DVD that were included in the VHS. It was understandable though since it was a Family type movie. I enjoyed anyway one because it was a good story and also it involved sports.

Where’s the game?
Always a favorite. It still rings true….Where’s the game?( right in your head). My 9 year old granddaughter says that all the time now before taking the field or the ice and it has really focused her.

Hockey Night Rocks!
I loved this movie when I was 14 and I love it now decades later! I bought it to share with my children and they lived it too-despite the fact no one had a cell phone! We agree Girl’s can play hockey too!

feature films for families dvd is editted
loved this film when i was younger and tried to rent it to show my child. found it here , on dvd, at a great price. i guess i was excited to finally find the movie (along with other childhood movies found here and bought that were only available on vhs) i didn’t read the reviews because i never thought a movie would be editted and not mentioned. i noticed the cut parts and wished they were left in. my child, never seeing it before, enjoyed the movie regardless.the cut parts were….the boys on the team heavy breathing as cathy got dressed for try-outs, one of the boys on the team making a comment about herpes during mr. lumber’s speech about winning being something no one can take away from you (something like that), cathy calling her mom’s date at the dinner table ‘shifty nelson’, cathy and her friend drinking before throwing rocks at spear’s window, and spear’s dad ripping off a towel from his head in the dressing room. pretty tame for any movie nowaday. oh well….

This Is It!
Finally found THE ORIGINAL version of Hockey Night starring Megan Follows, Yannick Bisson, & Rick Moranis!!! Although on VHS, this is distributed by Family Home Entertainment (FHE) and has all the funny quirks, music and simply the best parts of Hockey Night taken out by the Feature Films for Families line (so disappointed). Will watch over & over again, but first convert to DVD!

DO NOT purchase this version (Feature Films for Families)
If you have seen the original movie, DO NOT purchase the ‘Feature Films for Families’ version. They totally chopped (and I mean ‘chopped) the original — cutting out critical parts of the story, bad cuts in their editing and totally disrupting the story line. Do all you can to search out the original…much more entertaining and a great ‘coming of age’ story…

I’ve been looking for this movie for ages. Finally found it at a decent price. It arrived in good time and is exactly as expected. Haven’t watched it yet though, but thanks.

Too many scenes cut due to censorship by misguided souls.
