The pants are light-weight, with one buyer noting they seem to be a good various to conventional heavy cargo pants, and have zippered pockets that hold gadgets safe. They’re water resistant, staying dry and wicking away moisture, and one buyer mentions the fabric is rugged sufficient for tough terrain. The match receives blended suggestions, with some discovering the dimensions and size excellent whereas others report the waist being too giant. The fabric high quality can also be blended, with some saying they’re well-made whereas others report them coming aside in a number of locations.

Used these camping for 5 months—best pants ever
I use these pants for research fieldwork. To emphasize how great they are, I camped for 2 months with one of these pairs of pants among others and loved them so much that I got several more pairs and had them as my only pants when camping for 5 months. With off-trail hiking through thorns and dense brush, only one pair had a ripped pocket after 7 total months of use. The number of pockets is amazing. The back pockets and one of the front lower pockets are nice for simple things with a velcro close, but the one front zipper pocket keeps you not worried about things falling out, and the upper front pockets are SO deep I can jokingly fit an entire water bottle in them if needed. The material is a nice breathable almost-wicking (though not officially) material that handles rough hikes, etc. In no way are they waterproof, but they line dry faster than thick hiking pants. I purchased the brown and light grey colors. They both stain in muddy environments, however this may also be due to handwashing instead of a heavy-duty washer. The light grey stains much more easily though, so I would personally recommend brown. Having tried several more expensive and name brands, these give the best value for the cost personally. They run true to size for me (5’8” 150lbs and use medium—with a belt when pockets are full), and if in need of a field shirt I recommend the “Jessie Kidden Women’s UPF 50+ UV Sun Protection Safari Shirt” (pictured) it runs a little large (wearing small) but is so soft and comfortable.

    Very comfortable!
So I will start with my size. I am a petite woman ar 5’3″ and 116 pounds so I ordered a small despite Amazon suggesting I get a medium, which would also work for me. However, I am perimenopausal so I don’t later clothing as early in the cooler months as I used to as I run much warmer than in my younger days so these are actually perfect for me. Now the size small will be kinda tight if I want to lay, so with that being said, the way the sizes run seem perfect for me. I plan on also ordering a medium pair for the layering option when it gets really cold out. Then I will get more longevity out of 2 pairs and the lightweight feel of these will be wonderful in the hotter months and for me, that is extremely important because I don’t do too well in heat and when your work uniform is to be all black, that can get pretty rough. These pants are very comfortable they have elastic waist but also loops for belt and they button and zip in the front, but I don’t even need a belt with these. With my build the small are just secure enough at the waist that I don’t have to bother with a belt. The left leg pocket has a zipper to keep things secure and the right is a flap with velcro which is perfect for my phone. I love everything about the design and sizing of these pants so much I will be ordering more while on sale. Again. For my size and specific needs, these are the best thing since sliced bread!

    Run large
Great pants, the sizing was kind of wonky. I’m 5’ tall and weigh 135 pounds. According to the waist size on the measurement chart, I would wear an extra large. But the medium was a good fit, and I didn’t even have to hem them! Comfortable waist band, fairly wide legs. I recommend for short people!

    I love these pants!! Fit/Stretch/Durable
I bought these pants last minute the night before we left to go hiking because I discovered that my favorite pair of prana convertible pants was missing one bottom half of the zip off leg! Ugh. Cue overnight delivery options and scurrying to pick one. Well I am very pleased!! I am 5′ 5 “1/2 and approximately 128 lbs I was unsure about buying the small or the medium but I like for my hiking pants to be a little bit snug because as they stretch out during the hike they slip down. And with the seat of the pant hanging low it actually puts more stress on your thigh (quad) leg muscles to ‘fight’ against the garment you’re wearing if you can move freely. (True!!) So I went for the small because if the medium was too big and baggy I would’ve had to forgo wearing them. But the small fit great with elastic waist AND they actually make me look like I have a butt which is awesome because most snug ish pants just flatten my butt!! SORRY for pics , hard to take body selfies without a mirror. HaThe material is thin, that’s ok because I can put fleece leggings underneath, but be able to use them for warm weather camping too. The quality feel is nice, the pockets are great and the stretch is amazing for climbing and squatting. Haven’t tested the waterproofing yet, but as long as they repell some water I’ll be happy. The leg opening is just big enough to go over top of my hiking boots. If I could change anything I’d make them 1 inch longer but they are NOT too short. Happy camper here. Hope it helps.Update**** wore them 4 days in a row in Feb, north Georgia mountain weather camping and hiking. Don’t look worn or dirty, no damage. They are wind resistant to a comfortable temp and in colder conditions I just wore thin leggings underneath. Great budget pant. Look good enough to wear in to town too. Comfortable, stretchy for climbing. I’m going back for more and to hopefully get a convertible pair from this company!

    Great for hikes!
I’ve worn these about 5 separate times now-bought these to do some hiking in Yosemite and the Grand Canyon and they were great! Super comfortable and lightweight and dried quick after wading through some water. Did a little bit of rock scrambling and they held up to a bit of that, but I wasn’t that intense about it.Pockets were a plus too. Love that there was a zippered pocket to keep things secure and the pockets were actually deep enough to hold things – not always the case for women’s pants!Fit was comfy – I’m 5ft tall so the length was a little long, but really not too bad…only had to flip it up 1-2 times.Overall a great and comfortable pant for some moderate hiking!

Abit too long for short height person to put on, especially Asian built. Would be useful to have elastic seams or adjustable length? Need to get tailor so spent another 14bucks or so.
