Excellent machine for Linux, research, software development, general use
Delivered on time, new condition. It comes with Windows 11 Pro preinstalled, but I ripped that out and installed Ubuntu Pro 24.04.1. The system was up and running correctly within three hours on the Ubuntu install, and I had the old file copied in and everything replicated by the next day. The i7-12700K, 32GB ram and 1TB NVMe SSD are screaming fast for the tasks I need such as simulations, database analysis of years of log files, web server mirroring, etc. Called support on the Windows 11 Pro key, and support was right on the ball with help, resolving the issue in one call. I’m satisfied with the purchase.

Flawless operation, except USB WiFi adapter is poor.
I’ve had this Lenovo PC with Widows 11 Pro since July 18, 2024. It was easy to set up and has performed flawlessly so far. Startup, shutdown, and operation are fast! I believe it will support Windows 12 when the time comes. The WiFi thumb adapter is not very good, so I replaced it with a FebSmart PCIE WiFi Adapter, which allows top speed for my 300 Mbps connection. Microsoft allowed me to use my Home and Student 2019 version of Office with the same subscription I have on my older Windows 10 Machine, which was great.

Good Computer for non-gamers
This computer is smaller than my old tower and nicely constructed. When it is idle, the power drawn from the AC line drops as low as 10 watts. During normal use the fan is completely silent. Running a test which fully loads the CPU to 100% increases the input power to 200-210 watts. Not surprising, the fan speeds up a lot and the noise becomes noticeable. The power supply is rated at 180 watts output, so it is pretty much fully loaded. There is one 32GB memory card installed and one unused memory slot. The motherboard has one PCIe x16 slot and two PCIe x1 slots available for expansion cards. However remember there is not much power available for these cards. Finding a compatible larger replacement power supply is not easy because Lenovo uses a non-standard 10-pin power connector instead of the common 24-pin variety. There are three SATA connectors on the motherboard. One is used by the DVD drive. There is a space on the internal bracket to mount a 2.5” drive beside the DVD and a 3.5” drive below the DVD. One SATA power and data cable are provided. The unidentified 25-pin D-sub connector on the back is an old-timey parallel port for a legacy printer, like my trusty old Laserjet. This is a nice computer for office use. It would not good for games that need a dedicated graphics card due to the small power supply. It has Windows 11 Pro which is proving to be exasperating.

Performance
Computer is working well with the newer version of Windows 11. A little slow in loading up large documents/data sheets but is a good computer.

Shipped from United Arab Emirates – Warranty About to Expire – Needs Higher Power Supply
– Warning: Shipped From United Arab Emirates. Though I just bought it, the warranty is about to expire. Lenovo is giving me the run-around. Amazon shouldn’t allow this type of customer service.- I installed a SRhonyra Radeon R7 350 HD7750 4GB Graphics Card into the Lenovo ThinkCenter Neo 50t 32g. – This computer comes with a 180w power supply. The video card said it needed a higher one. The best I could find for a direct replacement was a 380w. – New Genuine Replacement 100-240V 380W Power Supply for Lenovo ThinkCentre 5P51D77151 –

Nice size and powerful.
I really like the looks of this Lenovo desktop pc. It’s a great fit for the way I have it configured…I have it laying on its side with the front usb ports toward the bottom. I put my monitor on top of it which frees up a lot of room on my desk. This thing is fast! It boots up almost instantly and everything I’ve tried on it is running great. It was missing the optical drive but a quick call to the seller fixed this. They overnighted an external, slim DVD drive at no cost, and it works great.I am using a different keyboard and mouse than the ones I received, but the received ones look just fine. It’s taking me a little time to get used to Windows 11, but it’s not bad at all.Overall, no buyer’s regrets here! It really is a great value.

Lenovo NEO 50T
So far this desktop has been very good . It has a 1 TB SSD , 32 gig of ram , DVD , VGA, Intel I7 .It is very fast and boots in about 15 seconds and shuts down in 5 seconds . The DVD is pretty chintzy and not nearly the quality of their previous gen drives . As far as the longevity we will see . I have a 2011 model Lenovo desktop and that was stellar reliability wise . It still works and I did not even replace the HDD during all that time . The new one has a much smaller profile even though it is considered a tower . I hope the quality matches the previous one . The fans are a little noisier than my previous one though not obnoxious . Runs my new TV card very well . So far no issues .
