The $30 charger we bought before on Amazon failed after a few months so we bit the bullet and bought this one. The $100 price is way too high for a charger, but we swallowed it for the insurance factor of getting an official Apple product. What really stings – and the reason I was compelled to bother doing a review – is when you open it you discover that it’s just the brick. No cable. So you can’t even use it without making another overpriced purchase purchase.
