Awesome belt; BE WARNED – there is another Chaoren version that doesn’t lock in place
This belt works great! It’s a better alternative to leather belts which tend to stretch and gradually loosen up over time. The material of this belt has lasted me well over a year – no frays, keeps a tight grip. Just be aware that there is another Chaoren belt that looks exactly the same but the ratchet doesn’t lock in place. I bought that one and returned it thinking it was just a one-off flaw. The replacement had the exact same problem so I returned it as well.The belt that worked well was titled “CHAOREN Nylon Ratchet Belt for Men – Mens Belts Casual 1 3/8″ in Gift Box – Outside Tail Golf” so if you get the one that doesn’t lock in place, try that title and hopefully you’ll get the one that I enjoy and not the flawed one. If you get the right one, you’ll love it. The other one, not so much. Good luck!

Fantastic Belt
I was a bit skeptical, given the price point, but these belts are extremely attractive and well made. I bought ones in tan, gray, and black. The mechanism for tightening/loosening is simple once you first understand how it operates.I’ve worn these seamlessly between the office, the golf course, and any casual circumstance. They pair perfectly with jeans, khakis, chinos, microfiber shorts. After wearing these for a few weeks, I also bought the leather version, which is of equal high quality.I cannot yet speak to their durability, but I can tell you the construction is very solid, nylon is thick without being cumbersome, and nothing about the belt screams “cheap.” In fact, it’s quite the opposite. I’ve received numerous compliments on the look in all three colors.They fit exactly to size, which surprised me given that belts I’ve bought off the rack in the past are invariably sized 1-2 inches shorter than their label. These were spot on. Could not be more pleased with this purchase!

Comfortable – Not Stiff!
This is the first ratchet Nylon belt I have purchased & I am impressed. I have owned several of the “Genuine Leather” which are just too stiff. I liken them to wearing a hulahoop with a buckle! This belt is thick but is very comfortable and conforms to your waist. I also like the wider format which seems to help in being more comfortable. The buckle design has a much stronger spring than those other ratchet belts I have owned & I hope it will hold up. The spring is the weak link in all these ratchet belts, so I hope this belt will prove different. I also find the clamping teeth that engage the belt are designed diff then other ratchet belts which seems to help hold the belt position better.UPDATE: Belt does loosen up when sitting for a while, so you need to cinch-up when you stand up. My experience with other ratchet belts just proves that they all seem to have this trait. Overall the belt is comfortable. It does take a little time to decide the best belt length before making the final cut. My only real complaint is when the belt twists while putting on.UPDATE: After 2 months of continuos wear I can say that this is my favorite adj belt. The buckle has held up well, The spring/latching mech works great. The belt material has also held up great, especially the tip which inserts into the buckle. Now buying the brown version to mix with the tan & black I already own.

Best belt ever!!!
I have 4 of these in different colors. I lost 25 pounds in past two years and these are still the belts I use. No having to punch new holes. Plus they look great on golf course as well as casual wear.

Best belt ever
After buying my first belt, I loved it so much, i purchased 3 more in other colors. A ratchet belt is the best, I can adjust it to my EXACT size and not worry about lining up the holes which are never in the right place. After purchasing these belts I will never go back to a traditional belt. Quality is excellent and price is great. Plus the packaging is suitable for a gift and you don’t have to worry about sizing, you customize it yourself.

Nice belt!
This makes for a nice work belt. It is wide, feels very sturdy and has almost infinite adjustment increments to get just the right amount of tension to hold your trousers up regardless of the amount of weight you may be carrying around. The wide black webbing does kind of standout and therefore I doubt one would want to wear it for even dress up casual. However, I really like it for jean wear around home when I am working. I no longer have to repeatedly keep pulling my jeans up by the waist. Releasing the belt and pulling it open works very smoothly. My belt fit perfectly right out of the box and needed no cutting.

This is a great find!
I too had the problem of inadvertently pressing the unlatch lever, at first. Then I flipped the belt and fed the right side. Normally I feed the left side belt loop first so that I go around my body counter clockwise. Once I flipped it I almost never press the lever by bending over. I like this belt so much I would have just wedged something like a rubber grommet in between the latch lever and the buckle to ensure it wouldn’t slip, but flipping it around feels weird but it worked for me. These are ultra-tough, good looking belts that should last me a long time. I really like that I don’t have to chose between too tight and just not tight enough to hold up my pants like I’d like. I could easily wear this belt with dress clothes or jeans or shorts and they would look awesome with all. Then, I bought two more in different colors, brown and gray should do it.

Nice, but not durable.
My initial impression was very positive:It fit without issue.It was easy to install.It was easy to adjust. It was comfortable to wear.Fast forward 10 months and it is broken. While the clasp that is used to adjust the fit and clasp the watch to your wrist is metal, the ends that attach to the watch itself are plastic and one broke as I was walking. Very dissapointing that it didn’t last a year.

… Love that it ratchets so it has minor increments unlike a regular buckle with eyes, you have to go one up or down and so not always perfect with a regular bucket, ratchet releases supper easy and very high quality materials! Would buy again.
