Was Skeptical but Very Pleased, Set Expectations. Would buy again.
I was hesitant about buying a used iMac, but after a few hours of research this one seemed like the best value. I wasn’t expecting the world. I got a machine that for the most part is as described. My only complaint is that the description said it would come with an Apple Magic Keyboard and Mouse. I knew this was highly unlikely and I was right, it did not. It came with a cheap generic mouse and keyboard. This wasn’t important to me, but they shouldn’t be deceptive with their listing. HOWEVER, the listing also said it would come with 8Gb of RAM and mine came with 16Gb!!!! I was thrilled with that because upgrading the RAM with these machines is very involved. A+ Would buy again.

Nice Computer, Arrived with a power cable that didn’t fit.
The power cable that came with the packaging did not fit the computer. Luckily I had one on hand that I was able to use and it works fine.

Will die on you! Don’t say no one told you.
Gradually died after minimal use. See image. Contacted the company, for a week they told me I’ll get a refund, then they gave me the run around. And finally they told me they can’t do anything about this, and that I have to contact Apple. Bad company. Poor workmanship. Lesson learned.

Nice computer, but not the keyboard and mouse I was expecting.
The iMac itself arrived well packaged and in excellent condition from what I’ve observed. When I booted it up, the version installed was macOS 10.14 Mohave and I updated it to Catalina. Then I began transferring data from my old iMac which took about 12 hours via a CAT5 (ethernet) cable. When I checked the storage capacity afterwards I found that the 38GB SSD and the 1TB HDD had not been combined into a Fusion Drive. Everything had been transferred to the HDD. Of course, recreating the Fusion drive wiped out what I had transferred and I had to restart the transfer. At least it was quicker the second time. There was a disappointing discrepancy in the Product Description and what I received. The Product Description for this iMac included a Magic Keyboard & Magic Mouse 2. A box with a Macally wired keyboard and a wired mouse were provided instead. Prior to ordering, I had clicked on “Learn about Amazon Renewed” where it was stated that, “All Amazon Renewed purchases will come with accessories equivalent to those that shipped in the box when new.” On that basis, I would have at least expected a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse, but preferably a preowned Apple Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard of some vintage. On the positive side, the computer came with 16GB of memory instead of the 8GB listed in the Product Description. That would have been a $200 upgrade at the time of purchase, so I guess that’s a reasonable offset for the generic wired keyboard and mouse.

2019 iMac w/Fusion Drive – Run, Run Away
My employer purchased a brand new 2019 21.5″ iMac for me in mid-2020 (3 GHz 6-core i5, with Retina display, and 16GB RAM). I’ve used various Macs continuously for decades, and this model is by far the worst product I’ve ever seen from Apple: it is incredibly, laughably slow to reboot and often nearly unresponsive after the display is put to sleep—has been this way from the get-go. I dread rebooting this machine and will let it run for months at a time to avoid doing so.As best I can tell, the “Fusion” drive that is in many of these ’19 iMacs is borderline-awful and never should’ve been implemented by a tech company of Apple’s stature. (For comparison, I had a 2012 MBP that was excellent for many years and would still run circles around this thing!) If you can find one of these iMacs with a different drive, for a good price, by all means do that…In general, I am a fan of all things Apple, but the 2019 iMac with Fusion drive is one of the worst of their few-and-far-between missteps, and I cannot recommend this product.
