Fascinating
I bought this book for my son, who is an avid F1 racing fan, and a college student in engineering for sustainability. I read the first half before giving it to him, just to make sure he’d like it. The first chapter was a little dry (mostly about the history of car racing), but the rest of the first half was very engaging!!! I found myself stopping about every 10 min to say to my spouse, “Hey, did you know…!?), to which he would invariably reply that he did not, but found the factoids and anecdotes as fascinating as I did. The frequent footnotes at the bottom of the pages are hilarious! I would rate it as 9 or 10 out of 10, without a doubt.

There is zero math involved and the author is a master at recounting anecdotes from his or history’s past. Although I knew quite a bit already about all 3 of the main topics of this book, I learned new things in every chapter.Highly recommended.I truly hope the author updates the material from time to time. Transportation and racing technology evolves so fast!
