I have had this external hard drive for about half a year now, using it mainly for gaming on my PC. I have a gaming laptop which doesn’t have much storage by itself. So this seemed like an easy and cheap solution.I have downloaded several games to this device, and have had no issues whatsoever, once I figured out how to actually select device to download to, that is. I expected issues with the cable, such as moving it a certain angle while plugged in, and having it disconnect and exit my game. I’ve had no issues of the sort. seems like good quality, and actually appears the have the storage it claims.I expect to download many more games to it, or even photos and videos, which I am sure will be no problem at all. Good quality. Worth the price.

Good enough, not perfect but worth the price
Okay so I ordered 2 of these items and straight out if the box I hooked em up to my low end (2013) pc and my equally low end xbox one console. To test em out I downloaded Batman Arkham Origins ( from Gog.com) straight to the yotuo on my pc and it took a bit to allocate disk space but once it got going it ran fine- until near the end when the connection dropped. I figured, maybe it was my internet so I rebooted and it picked up where it left off. Within minutes I was gaming away on Batman Arkham origins and its been running perfectly (knock on wood) so I installed Hitman Absolution (Gog.com) and this time I had no drops and it also is running perfectly.Now… I decided to install Hitman 2 on my Xbox one with all the DLC. On the last bit of DLC it dropped. So I figured, hard reset time and again it picked right up and everything went smooth. As of this writing I am downloading Alien: Dark Descent on my Xbox one and everything seems good. So there you have it. There seems to be some birthing pains out of the box but it does what it says it does.One thing I noted: these guys get HOT. I rigged two small fans next to them to keep them cool and this seems to work. Now we’ll just see how long they last but for now- easy 4 stars. I’ll update if anything else happens in the near future.

Does not play well with Xbox One S
As far as an external hard drive is used this is great but there seems to be some kind of interference when hooked to the Xbox. It will constantly disconnect the controller tested multiple times with Xbox connected and disconnected and the controller will randomly disconnect and have to reconnect. Definitely not recommended for Xbox but as far as an external hard drive it works great.
