Old school but it just works
Works straight out of the box. 20 minutes later crucial backup in progress, a whole years worth of work getting saved on a darn fast drive. Great value for the money. I’ve had bad luck with SSD drives over 1TB and lost lots of data.ill stick wit these portable SATA mechanical drives for a while.

Cloud storage is cute and all but having your data air-gapped is still my favorite way. You cannot have too many backups, just keep things labelled well.

Admin rights
Does anyone know how tyo change the admin rights to be able to use this drive… I’ve tried going thru the services tab, unlocking the drive thru the info button and nothing works

Western Digital Always Reliable
This plug-and-play drive is awesome. I’ve been a WD fan since the 1980s. This is a great device to create local backup and archive of long-term files such as photographs and music. Knowing that it is a WD product, I expect many years of reliable use of this device. Thank you to the manufacturer for another great product.

Transfer speeds only at 20% of advertised.
Just out of the box, running the Black Magic Speed Test, it only goes at 107 MBps. It should be going over 600MB/s

大容量で分散していたファイルをひとまとめに出来る安定感は良い面白いのは5年前に購入した2.5 2TのHDDと同一ファームでスペックも同一厚みが3倍なので建て増しのHDDだと分かる事、枯れた技術は安定感はあるが期待する新要素はない※温度に関しては冬でフルアクセス48度と問題ないが夏だとどうなるか？(1月の室温22℃)
