I wanted it primarily for the Blu-ray and Hi-Rez (SACD/DVD-Audio) support. I quickly discovered you could load it up with digital audio files with a connected hard drive. I was fascinated by the convenience from a dedicated audio (and video) component being able to do this without having to use the headphone out of an iPod.In the intervening years I have owned a variety of other, increasingly more advanced streamers. I recently sold my beloved close-to-a-thousand-bucks streamer (I won’t mention the brand, but the brand sounds like it’s going to always be on it’s own, and the model number is – in part – also the name of a larger Audi sedan) – and all because it didn’t sound any better than when I was using Auris’ BluMe Pro (both with the same external Chord 2Qute DAC) with my LDAC-supported Android phone (OnePlus 12).Why should one digital transport sound much different from another? Answer; because one is (lossy) Bluetooth. Well, lossy doesn’t have to mean a noticable drop in sound quality. Just ask Boothroyd Stuart. I love this device. I have two of them, for two years, and they work great. Connects automatically when I turn the systems on, has great range, and sounds fantastic as I stream lossless on Apple Music. It’s just a fantastic little product for the money. Untethered music play on demand spoils you.

Nice but failed after about forty five minutes.
I hooked this up per the manual, very simple and it paired quickly and sounded great but it only played about forty five minutes and just shut off and would not come back on. I bought this while my receiver was being recapped and it took longer than expected so be sure to test it before the 30 day return window is closed.Update: Discovered circuit power off, now working as should.

Great Sound Quality
This adapter couldn’t be easier to use. I took it out of the box and was listening to music in less than 5 minutes. Connect the power, connect the output to your amplifier, easily pair with the phone and go. The display is a nice touch, but the main reason I bought this was for hopefully good sound quality. I am absolutely satisfied and actually impressed with the quality of music transmitted over this device. Bluetooth has come a long way from the first versions.

This works really well. It connects easily and seems to have great range. I wanted something that would allow us to stream Tidal uncompressed music from our firepit, to our whole house audio system which has Bose speakers sets in the back. I placed this unit in the ceiling, near the back wall and ran a 20ft digital cable from this unit to my DAC. I had to extend the wire on the included AC adapter as well. It works great. One of the factors in its ability to transmit lots of data is the strength of our Wi-Fi connection. We found it would sometimes stop playing but it was not the unit but rather Wi-Fi connection that was causing Tidal to buffer. When we used our phone connected via cellular, no buffering happened. As well, in Tidal, you can set the bits per second to low, medium or high. We set ours to medium and the sound quality is great. Our whole house audio system is now a gigantic Bluetooth speaker thanks to this device. You can use if for any streaming service but keep in mind that there are other factors (like your wi-fi connection) that may limit the performance, other than the device itself which works great. 5 stars!
