Buy the separate surround 3 speakers too!
For the original 299 promotional pricing, this was an amazing bargain that I am glad I did not hesitate on. These days it seems the price has reverted to normal but you can get the Cinema 400 at the lower price, which appears to differ by slightly lower wattage for the most part. For a small room, this works well and you don’t have to hassle with an AVR. I have this connected to an older HD TV, so I’m using an optical cable and an Apple TV for content. I leave the Apple TV on 24×7 and the Klipsch times out on its own. When I turn on the TV, after about 5 seconds the 600 detects sound and turns on. If I turn the Klipsch on and off then I need to set the source to analog from digital (default), so naturally I let it time out. I used the Apple TV learning function to learn the Klipsch remote so for the most part I can use the Apple TV remote to control the volume. I wall mounted the Klipsch (and the TV). Be sure to follow directions and leave extra space below the TV because you need that space to raise the 600 before dropping its bolts into the wall bracket. One thing to note is that the virtual surround mode does not work well with music as it introduces noticeable distortion, depending on the type of music, so I only use it for movies. Once you use it a few times you will see what I mean. But later I added the Surround 3s and man does going from virtual to actual makes a big difference in SQ. One thing though is that there are several gradations of surround you can select, but so far I’ve found only the first level is good, as the sound starts to get progressively tinny at the higher levels. And it turns out adding these surrounds was very simple–just plug the included transceiver into the 600 and the surrounds auto detect it.I do wish the volume increments were about 1/2 what they are. Once the subwoofer and dialog settings are set they don’t typically need to be tweaked often. The dialog setting has 4 options to raise the midrange. I’d say the highest two settings are mostly too much for my taste. The subwoofer can throw down serious bass for a speaker that is not particularly heavy. In a large bedroom this produces more than enough distortion free, clear sound, based on what I Apple Watch detects as a safe dB level. I’m not sure how well it might work in a very large living room with high ceilings–for that I have plans to get the much delayed flagship Klipsch 1200 soundbar with a digital connection to a newer 4k TV.While this has bluetooth it doesn’t have WiFi. I had to watch a youtube review to find out that you can download the Klipsch Connect app to perform firmware and software updates. It did ship with the most current versions.A strange thing happened with delivery. Amazon routed this large item through USPS instead of UPS or Amazon delivery as expected. I had to call the PO to see what was going on with delayed delivery and had to pick it up myself since my normal route carrier certainly couldn’t fit this in her vehicle.

    Excellent Soundbar Value
I had been eyeing this soundbar for awhile and finally jumped on it when it went on sale recently. I was going back and forth with whether to get this soundbar or do a 2.1 set-up with powered speakers and a sub. The issue right now with the 2.1 speaker set-up is the cost to get HDMI CEC compared to the soundbar value so I picked up this Klipsch as the value alternative.I replaced a JBL 2.1 soundbar on my Sony 900h 75 inch, so set-up was a breeze, just plug and play. First thing you will notice is the size of the soundbar was well as the size of the sub. The soundbar is 45 inches in length and almost 3 inches high so take that into consideration as to how it will look with your tv set-up.TV and Movie sound is top notch with clear and crisp vocals and detail. This is the second best thing about the soundbar. It was a noticeable upgrade from my JBL which retails for about $200 now and has stellar reviews as well. Surround and sound staging is still quite limited as at the end of the day it is a soundbar and not a true 5.1 system or 3.1 system. In my opinion the soundstage seemed to stretch just beyond the TV and for my family that was plenty. The best thing about the soundbar is the sub which is a significant improvement over my 8 inch JBL sub. It fills our entire living room with plenty of bass and really adds to the whole home theater experience. It wasn’t clear how much bass I was missing out on until I got this thing. On Music, it does an ok job. I play music via my TV’s Amazon HD Music App and it offered nice detail and imaging but sound staging again is quite limited given it is a soundbar. The sub helps a lot, but it is step down from say two Amazon Echo Studios or Sonos Ones paired, but a step up from one by itself.I would strongly encourage anyone to buy this assuming they plan to use it for 75% Movies and TV. If you will use it for music quite a bit, try a true 2.1 set-up, but this soundbar will handle things well for you. This product at around $3-500 is right at the law of diminishing returns. Beyond this soundbar you are no longer getting great value even when you are adding in Atmos as soundbars are just not that great at surround sound.

I was mostly interested in good music listening capability. I agonized over many many reviews of many sound bars. For the Cinema 600 people constantly mentioned the sound quality for music but that Dolby Atmos was not built in. For me music was key and TV sound was secondary. This thing has excellent sound, over time I found myself turning the bass down towards the default more and more. You really can over do the bass which is great because systems that cannot do that leave you wanting more. The sealed sub is downward firing and in my case on a vinyl plank floor on concrete and in a corner which is ideal and probably why I don’t turn the bass up at all.The sound with TV playing is really nice, I find the dynamic range is a bit wide where I need to keep cranking volume up during quiet periods and race to turn it down during loud segments. I find the speech mode button makes this much less of an issue but retains the strong bass for loud scenes.Overall I find it best for music and very good for TV.As the low Alexa score, I simply don’t want such functionality in anything I own.

Great room filling sound. Audio selection for type of media is a great option. The sound is very crisp and clear in all formats, movies, music and conversation and dialogue. My hearing isn’t the best. The ability to select the sound type has helped me hear things. The subwoofer is powerful. It’s an awesome system!!

Aunque la instalación y la operación son sencillas, algunos detalles no son claros en el manual, por lo que hay que estar con el clásico “prueba y error” Sólo mejorar las instrucciones. El equipo es una maravilla, suena espectacular!!!!
