Three wire cable works
Three wire cables worked fine, but the converter box was not functioning. Tried the converter box on two newer TV’s and it didn’t work for either. The three-wire cable worked fine so I didn’t return it.

Did not work with one of my dvd players ( multi region generic dvd player ) thru my smart tv ( only the video worked the audio portion coming out as a loud humm.) so I tried it with my Sony dvd player and this time it worked.I researched if there was a fix but to no avail. I suspect it is because my machine was an inexpensive multi region player. It works flawlessly with my Sony ntsc dvd player.
