Better than Expected
When you hear the word “renewed” many think of previously owned objects with scratches, dents, and dirt. Despite the reviews of those who received faulty MacBooks, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the computer looked brand new. There were little to no marks on the outer shell, the screen looked as if it had never been touched before, and the keyboard was spotless. Although, the box came with no official apple packaging and the charger was third-party, the solid drive was wiped clean and the physical aspects were flawless. Everything works fine from the TouchBar to the Trackpad. Overall it was a great way to save money on a computer that is essentially brand-new.

Faulty Battery & Broken Keys | I was incredibly disappointed
As soon as I activated the laptop, I received a “Service Battery” notification. According to Apple, this means “The Battery isn’t functioning normally, and you may or may not notice a change in its behavior or the amount of charge it holds. Take you computer in for service.” This problem was apparent immediately, as the battery percentage would jump from 80% to 40% in a matter of seconds, then return to 80% without touching a charger. The computer also died abruptly just to power back on a few seconds later with full charge. On top of this major problem, the laptop arrived with two unattached keys. Not only are the keys not attached and have the habit of falling out, but they often do not respond when clicked on. If you’re planning on buying a 2019 Macbook Pro, I highly recommend it, it seems like a great laptop. But not from this seller.

Happy with MacBook Pro
I have been a bit skeptical about buying a refurb Mac (not from Apple) and I have to say, looking good so far. The computer arrived in actual MacBook Pro box, wrapped in bubble wrap inside a shipping box. It came a day early as well. Turns out and seems to have no issue so far. My only complaint is, it wasn’t super clean or anything. I did give it a quick wipe down and all is well. I did take the extended warranty through Amazon, so that helped me put my mind at ease. Overall, I’m a happy customer.

Scratch on Screen
Small 1/2” scratch on screen. But everything else was was in perfect condition. Booted up, all keys work and battery took a 100% charge.

This product was not refurbished correctly. A warning message about replacing battery as soon as I charged It came on. Spoke with Apple and they suggested returning it or purchasing a new battery for about $200I only had it for one day, so back it went. Now just waiting for my refund, one day to take my money, almost a week now since the return and no refund yet
