Perfect (seriously, PERFECT) hiking/daypack!
Bought this for a Viking Cruise knowing I’d want to have my money and phone on my front, but room to carry a jacket, sunscreen, water bottle, and various other things for a full day out walking. This was EXACTLY what I needed. The two pockets on the straps are perfect – the zippered one easily held my iPhone 13 (with case and pop socket) along with a skinny wallet. The more open pocket kept tissues and lip balm accessible without pulling off the whole pack. The straps are comfy and breathable. The chest strap really helps keep the pack secure and comfortable. Have since used it hiking as well, and it’s perfect for that too.There an internal pocket (the one the whole bag stuffs into for packing, takes up no room in luggage!) that’s great for not loosing things, as well as a front pocket. Truly excellent minimalist day pack.Absolutely love it. Highly recommend.

Great size but not perfect
Perfect size for a day. I could fit in a rain jacket and iPad and some food.The small compartments on the shoulder straps are handy. I don’t care of the material. It definitely looks like it’s water resistant but I don’t like the way it feels when you run your hand or fingers over it.The compartment on either side for water bottle is difficult to access and very snug.. A regular 24 oz bottle, fits in , but you cannot take it out or put it in while wearing the backpack. but the bottle does fit in if you are pulling the edge of the compartment with one hand and then slide the bottle in with the other. So a little inconvenient but works

Hiking Backpack
Great backpack, lightweight. I used it for hiking the Inca Trail. It was a little small, but that was on me for not knowing the size. Great for biking or a daypack.

Bought 3 – all 3 had quality issues
We bought three of these for our family, and all three had issues. On two of them, the bungee cord was broken on the strap pocket rendering the pouch useless. The third one had broken stitching at the top of the zipper pocket on the left strap. Super bummed because the overall design of these is great – the idea of the pockets on the straps giving easy access to things. Sad that all three of ours had issues. Ended up returning them. 2 stars just because they weren’t expensive and the overall design is a great idea, maybe we just got three bad ones.

Easy to put on. Straps do not cut into my shoulders. Strapyalao stay on my shoulders. I’ve had zero discomfort from these. Perfect for day hiking.

Perfect for short hikes
Love the back pack. I use it for short hikes , and it fits perfect, and has two water bottle holders.The straps work perfect to carry your sunglasses and or phone , there is a zipper compartment to carry cash .

Good, but some challenge
From the pictures, the packed backpack is a little larger than I had expected. Open it up and there is a fairly large section that also has a small zippered compartment (the same pouch used to store the pack when folded up). There are 4 compartments external (two on the straps, and two on either side of the pack). It is made well, and seems to be good quality. A couple of concerns though… 1. I don’t like the tapered bottom. It is like a V shape, rather than a flat bottom like many backpacks. 2. When folding it back up, it was a pain to get it back in the little pouch. In fact, I zipped it up 3/4 and gave up the rest. Materials are thicker, which may be good on the shoulders and holding weight, but makes it hard to compress back into the little pouch. 3. Came with chest strap… which to me isn’t needed on such a small backpack and just takes up space, which contributes to the difficulties putting it back in the original pouch. I’ve had a different similar item and with ripstop nylon, it folds smaller and is more lightweight. This is good, but for me there are better options.
