Works great! Fast, too. Tested that it truly holds its claimed capacity.
This is better than a “no-name” memory card. For one thing, it comes with a 3-year warranty, and gives 2 ways to contact the company (on the package back, pictured). I tested that it actually delivers its full capacity (see note at the bottom for how to do that and why it’s important), and it does. It worked flawlessly in my testing over several hours.Regrettably, none of my devices could go above 90 MB/s, which it did just fine. It also worked fine with an old laptop with only a “standard” SD slot (with only a single row of contacts); of course, it was only 30 MB/s, but it worked perfectly over several hours demonstrating backwards compatibility. My only complaint is that the package is difficult to open — the best way seems to be to use a sharp knife to slice off the plastic “bubble” close to the cardboard — be careful! OTOH, it is a nice retail package. It came formatted with “exFAT”, which is the most flexible one, and will work with the most devices. Your device can re-format it if that one does not work for it. After the exFAT file system administrative overhead, there is 235 GB left for files, which is perfectly normal for a 256 GB drive. It also has a “write-protect” slider, so you can prevent its contents from being accidentally overwritten. How to test a memory card or flash drive: first, fill the device with files, well above 90% full. Then, verify that you can read the last file you copied to it.Why it’s important to test every one: literally every “no-name” flash drive I have gotten, except those I got through the Vines program, failed this test. Why? Because the seller can “re-flash” a 32Gb drive so it SAYS it’s a 128 or 256 Gb drive, but it still only has 32 Gb of actual storage, so it works fine for the first 32 Gb you copy to it, but then only pretends to save anything past that. So when you need your backup, or the wedding video, or whatever is on it, it is not there. And most people discover this only after it’s too late to send it back, and after causing a tragic situation.

works as expected, good amount of storage; 32 Gb version had a small, temporary ‘glitch’
The 64Gb vaersion is a basic class 10 sd card. On this particular one, the lock slide sticks out a little more than on some other cards and it caught on the edge of one of my adapters (only one); but I was able to get around this little problem by inserting the card at a slight angle until the slide cleared the opening.Speed is not my concern with this card; I just need some extra offline storage to back up some important files. This card while not the fastest is definitely fast enough to do the backup job. Being a class 10 card, it can also be used in a couple of my cameras, and it’s always good to have some spare memory cards (and batteries) when you are out in the wild. When transferring several 1GB files to and from the card from a computer, the write speed (with sync to device) is as high as 53.3 MB / sec. The read speed is 84.34 MB / sec average over a number of tests.Additional notes on 32Gb two-pack version:The first of two cards I tried from this two-pack of 32Gb cards was not recognized as a valid drive for first 2 attempts when inserting it into a USB port with adapter that is known to be working. After 3rd attempt it then appeared to be working OK. The second card in the package work fine out of the box. Each card is pre-formatted with a fat32 file system, and has 29.52 GiB free (out of 32Gb) after the formatting.Read speed was a little lower than the advertised 100MB/s max, but still acceptable for my purposes (backing up some critical file, so that there is an offline copy). Write speed as is typical of these cards is substantially less than the read speed; but this is not unusual and should not be a reason to reject a particular card. All said, these cards perform as expected and should be good for backups, for installing Linux distros and other software, and for use in cameras and various other electronic devices that don’t need the fastest speed.
