High quality for the price
These are very high-quality waste waders, and they actually exceed the quality of the waders that I’m replacing that were more expensive! All of the seams are very well sealed, and the forethought of putting in knee pads is absolutely genius. I would definitely agree with their advice–if you’re thinking about layering underneath the waders, pick a size up.

Waist high and they don’t leak
I bought a pair of waist high waders (size Large ) from a well known hunting and fishing outfitter. When they arrived I tried them on and the waistband came up to my armpits. The legs and seat were huge, but the boot size was a tight size 11. I returned them and tried again with these waders. They fit great. I am 5’ 10” and 195 lbs. They are truly waist high and while roomy, they are not excessively baggy. And most importantly, they don’t leak. I’ve fished them for two seasons now in the surf, and so far I am still happy with them.They are a bit heavy in terms of thickness, compared to the lightweight LL Bean waders I am used to. However they are not uncomfortably heavy and I hope that will contribute to their durability.

Quality at a good price
I was looking for a wader that will provide protection in the mild winter, early spring and late fall. The size I picked was medium which fit snug but not tight, the neoprene foot length was great with a frame of 5.11 at 229 lbs. foot size of 10.5-11. Overall the fit and durability was perfect, didn’t seem to slump or go to high above the waist or hinder squating. The knee pads are a bonus with the additional material around the knee pads while walking through brush. A pocket on the front would be nice however there is a zippered pouch inside for valuables. I looked at other brands Simms/Patagonia/Redington, and couldn’t find a proportionate size, either too long in length/seam, size was tight/loose, or the foot size was way off which causes a bad fit in the wading boots. The price is incredible since other brands were above $300. If it lasts for 2 seasons it seems to be a great price. I have mostly Simms products, proper gear makes an enjoyable outing. I will respond with a review once I use in the river.

Poor Customer Service
I purchased these waders for trout fishing during the warmer months of the year. I thoroughly inspected them when they arrived and thought they were of very decent quality, especially for the price. They were a nice color and the padding in the knees was a very good idea. I wore them 3 days in May, and they were great, I was dry and comfortable. I returned to the mountains in September and day one was good, halfway through day two and the left bootie was leaking. Four-, and one-half days of use and leaking! Less than 6 months old. I notified 8 Fans and found the Customer Service to be terrible. I still have a pair of leaking waders, and nothing resolved. So, Buyer Beware.

Better than expected
I have used these on my Yellowstone vacation for fly fishing. So far so good. I have spent multiple hours / days in water and mud and these have held up great. I also found myself having to work through shrubs and branches and these pants held up perfectly. I bought separate wading boots so I needed wading pants without the built in boots. These have built in socks and after all day in the water, no leaks and I was perfectly dry. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 250 with a 40 inch waist. XL fit me fine with room to spare. I went with pants instead of chest waders for ease of taking a leak and not wanting to get too hot. I have found that waist high pants are tall enough and have no need of going in deeper water than that. If and when these wear out, I will definitely buy another pair.

Seems like good product. Booties are HUGE!! Pants are also way too long. Advertised as women’s- wish they had a better sizing guide. I’m 5’4″ 150. They would be perfect if I was 5 inches taller

These are great waders I would of like to have seen XXXL as these are snug around the mid section but that’s what I get for eating what I want LOL….they kept me warm in pretty cold water and they didn’t make me sweat so they breathe well…my fishing buddy thought they were great and now he’s getting a pair.

Well-made, high quality waders for the price. I am 6ft / 196lbs and size 10 US shoe. Large fits just right. I was sent Medium by mistake and although they looked better, less baggy and streamlined, I could not kneel down in them comfortably or easily. Customer service followed up quickly and gave me confidence that they will support me if I have any issues. A great find and a great buy! Thank you 8 Fans!

I’ve been fly fishing for over 40 years and have had several sets of waders. These honestly appear to be as well-made as any I’ve ever owned. All the seams are taped neatly, the belt & loops are sturdy, the seams are tight and lay flat, and the fabric itself isn’t at all flimsy like I thought it might be … one never knows when buying clothing online.First off, the fit: I am 6’4″ / 260 lbs / 40″ waist / size 13 shoes – the size XL in these fits me perfectly, as well as any I’ve ever owned. They’re roomy but not baggy, so river currents won’t be dragging excessively on the legs.I bought these mainly for use in my Sit-on-Top kayak, to stay dry while paddling, and to enable being able to get alongside it in the water without worrying about going over top of regular boots. The double-seat and double-knees are a nice feature, as these are the pressure zones where water will sometimes “squeeze” through a breathable fabric. Again, at this price point, I’m very pleased with them.
