    Very good so far
I’m using this amplifier for a desktop audio system with Revel M105 speakers and a WiiM Ultra acting (poorly) as the preamplifier. I wanted plenty of power since the Revel’s have only 86db sensitivity. I considered Hypex and Purifi DIY amplifiers that rate very highly but are overpriced for a PCB in a box. Technologically this amplifier has everything those do for much less. The majority of the design and the TDA3255 chips were made by Texas Instruments, including PFFB. As for the implementation, I have to hope Aiyima followed TI’s design guidelines and used decent components so this amp has some longevity. We all know Amazon reviews are like JD Power car reviews, only good for initial impressions and not long-term reliability.I have no problem with the separate power brick since it can only improve the audio signal by being outside the case with its noise and heat. You are also somewhat protected if the PS dies since you can get another without throwing the good part of the amp away. A third benefit is you can buy a power supply with more wattage to increase the output of the amplifier if you need it.Please note that the specs for this amp are like all from the far east. Exaggerated and unreachable. Some of the blame falls on TI for listing a ludicrous power figure @ 10% THD in their own data sheet. Nevertheless you can still get an honest 150-200 watts per channel with inaudible noise and distortion that rate far below .01%. With Post Filter Feedback (PFFB) the load dependency from the speakers is eliminated which means the frequency response is flat from roughly 20 to 20K Hz. Brilliant. So far this device has done exactly what I wanted. A class D amplifier based on the state of the art design that eliminates all the shortcomings of old class D. I’m not going to tell you it sounds “sweet and melodious with musical but not bright highs” because that doesn’t mean anything to anyone. It sounds like _nothing_ which is the best compliment an amplifier can receive.

    Superb balanced TPA-3255 implementation
I’ve always been a huge fan of Aiyima products, especially their TPA-3255 implentations. I do a little DJ on the side, and I was eager to try out a new setup with a pair of passive tower speakers + powered subs along with this amp. I use furutech XLR cables. It complicated setup a bit, but its well worth the boost in fidelity. I use furutech interconnects. Was going to use my own 48V 10A active pfc power supply, but discovered the stock power supply is actually quite advanced so I took a chance, bringing my other unit along as a backup. It did an excellent job of driving the speakers with plenty of headroom. Very low noise floor, clean and neutral, with tight low end. I’m an audiophile of 20 years, and others have said I have a good ear for evaluating the sound quality of gear. This is out of the box without any internal tweaking like I usually do (op amp swapping, recapping, etc.). Very pleased with this unit so far. Anything more fancy and expensive than this will be way past the point of diminishing returns. Highly recommended.

    A fine bargain amp!
Used with 4 and 8 ohm stand mount speakers. This mini amp has great sound with deep bass and dynamic highs. Equals my expensive amps for sound quality. The amp is not going to drive large, multi-driver speakers in a medium to large room unless they are well over 87db sensitivity.

Sounds good but started making a lot of noise
After a few days of usage, I started hearing loud noises coming from this little amp frequently, to the point where I have to turn it off. This was with the 48V10A power supply.

Amazing class D amplifier, but not for me
This Aiyima A70 class D amplifier is small & powerful. I’ve been into audio all my life, both as a music listener & my career (EE). I have 5 high quality systems, both tube & solid-state. The A70 sounds OK for casual listening, but just doesn’t do it for critical listening. Imaging is different than any of my quality amps, and it has a mechanical coloration that I can’t live with. The other thing I really disliked was the power switch, which requires a touch of the volume knob to it turn on. If you hit it a second time by mistake (easy to do), it jumps to the balanced input, even though unbalanced was selected by the rear switch. The quirky power switch bothered me more than the sound. I really tried to like this amp.

    Nice Aiyima!!!!!
I love how quiet the A70’s are and I also like the brick look to it!!!! Plenty of power for what I use it for (desktop application). The size is just right for my desk. The sound is amazing with the Sparkos op-amps in it too!!!! Volume is smooth when turning it up!!! The temperature does not get too hot either!!! Has all the inputs you need!!! Great amp!!! I brought two of them. Wish I can use them as mono blocks!

Best small amp I have listened to!
I tried the A07 Max and while it was decent, it wasn’t game changing to my ears. The A70 on the other had sounds so much cleaner and has nice tight bass. I went ahead and opened it up and installed some Sparkos Op-Amps and thing thing seriously sounds amazing. Especially for the all in cost, you aren’t going to beat it.About my system, Klipsch RP600M speakers, Topping E70 DAC and my vinyl setup is a Technics 100C AT-540ML cart with a tube based EAR834 clone phono pre-amp.

The Aiyima A70 Class D amplifier is an outstanding performer, offering incredible value for its price. Its clean, simple design, paired with an external power supply, helps minimize heat and noise, contributing to a superior audio experience. With plenty of power, it easily handles low-sensitivity speakers like the Revel M105, delivering around 150-200 watts per channel with crystal-clear sound and virtually no distortion. The Post Filter Feedback (PFFB) is a standout feature, ensuring neutral sound across various speakers, eliminating concerns about pairing mismatches. It’s equipped with both RCA and XLR inputs. XLR provides even cleaner, noise-free audio. The subwoofer output with a low-pass filter adds flexibility for those wanting a fuller, bass-rich sound in their home setup.Another benefit is the 12V trigger input, which allows for seamless integration with devices like the WiiM Pro, ensuring that the amp powers on and off automatically. The overall sound quality is exceptional—tight bass, clean mids, and crisp highs—all presented in a neutral, uncolored manner. For anyone seeking a powerful, feature-rich amplifier at a competitive price, the Aiyima A70 is hard to beat.
