Yes, it’s basic, but it’s simple and easy to use. Soon after receiving this roll of wire, I stripped and tinned the ends and had it in use with a new stereo system. The thick insulation is tough and protective, while being adequately flexible.

Much better than the speaker wire I had been using
I needed speaker wire for putting my speakers in my large garage, with about a 40 foot total run on one speaker.This wire is heavier gauge than what I normally have used, but I wanted that for the extended length. It says it is 16 gauge, which is probably correct, but the wire itself seems heavier than other speaker wire I have used before that claimed to be 16 gauge.The speaker at the far end of my garage sounds just as good as the one close to the stereo, and I do not notice any degradation of the sound on the longer run.The insulation on the wires is nice and thick, the wire itself is a nice heavy gauge, with a high number of very fine wire strands so that it is very flexible. The black line on one wire made it easy to keep the polarity straight.The price is good. It appears to be all copper, even though the description doesn’t show that. I ordered it hoping that it was – I personally will spend a bit more to bet copper instead of copper coated aluminum.

No drop in Sound Quality
I needed about 7 feet of wire. No problems, no static, no shorting out, and it works great.

I have an old Sony stereo from my teenage years and it used to always have great sound. Unfortunately over time the original wires wore off and the sound quality dropped. I ordered this 16 guage copper wire after reading up on it. It seemed expensive and I really didn’t need 50ft of wire! Still ended up ordering it. I have absolutely no regrets! I was able to restore my old stereo and the sound quality is amazing, just like old times. I listen to mostly rhythm and blues and music that is heavy on bass, low on treble, these wires carried the sound well enough, I highly recommend this for anyone who is an audiophile.

What can I say, it’s speaker wire. Arrived before the promised date. Easy to work with. Quality is as good as the name brand stuff, and I’m pretty sure the electrons aren’t picky about the price, as long as the metallurgy is right! Sounds great. If my system grows the point that need it, I’ll buy again.

Just in case you fail to notice in the title (like I did!) – it is 4 rolls of 100ft speaker wire, total 400ft (about 300ft more than I needed LOL)Not much to review, works as described, quick delivery, cheapest I could find.
