Awesome refurbished MacBook Pro – Enjoying it by now.
Despite I was hesitant to buy a refurbished MacBook Pro, adding that some buyers had a non favorable at all reviews when I was thinking to buy, I decided to try with this vendor Kanga and if any issue happens, to return it before the 90 days period.By now being the third day after “unboxing”, the experience has been so pleasant, with the following highlights:1.- Speakers performs like sound bar systems, even better that some bars for TVs. I’ve been listening this morning a Pink Floyd concert in YouTube and i’ve found its flawless sound is amazing, much better than my 50 inches Smart TV.2.- It had MacOS Monterey preinstalled, and after a not so long update, I had the latest version 12.4, with all current patches.3.- It has a minor scratch on the back of the screen, and I won’t see it when I put the case on the MacBook Pro, so I don’t care too much of this. It looks and behave like new MacBook Pro, in a mint condition, despite it is at least 5 years old.4.- Coming from a MacBook Pro 2015, I’m getting used to the touch bar, however the learning curve has been no significant and I’m learning quickly its features. Touch Bar working fine at the moment.5.- Touch ID did follow its procedure to acquire my finger marks, so now its working fine too.6.- I believe those who mentioned bad experiences with their buys, however that is not my case until now.7.- I may think by a moment that I’m using a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro, without paying that hefty price. However when looking that the Apple support status it is out of warranty, so I’m coming back to the reality.8.- I found it required additional hardware to connect with my HDs with Thunderbolt for USB C, so having converters I did the first Time Machine backup with no issues.9.- Battery is above 90% capacity, with no cycles of use, so I understand the degradation may come because of the time and not by a previous use.I’m trying to use adding heavy workloads to the MacBook Pro in order to find any possible issue (like graphic card bugs), however at this moment the behavior is very good as expected.So I congratule Kanga to deliver this excellent device that I’m enjoying by now. However if something changes, I will update this review in the coming days, or to return it at the first failure.

The laptop itself is in good physical condition, as described. I installed macOS Monterey on it and things usually run smoothly except for about 5 minutes into any usage the fans kick on, even if I’m not doing anything intensive, the position of the machine is such that it has sufficient external airflow. I’ll be doing basic web browsing and using non-intensive apps and the fans will just spin up and stay on the entire time. There may be dust build up inside or else there is another problem – maybe it has something to do with the latest macOS version running on the old hardware.After more extensive usage I realized just how spent the battery life is. The number of battery cycles exceeds 200, and it cannot hold a charge for more than 2 hours for basic file system tasks and browsing – practically just the screen being on. The battery drains to 10% within 2 hours and usually only barely makes it to 1.5 hours. This is extremely disappointing, as the description relayed the battery health would exceed 80% and stated that it would last around 10 hours.

I purchased a brand new MacBook Pro 2017 15” in 2018 for a little over $2k. It was smashed and I needed a new laptop. I can’t afford the $2k at the moment so I decided to purchase renewed MacBook Pro 2017 15” 1tb memory from double dex refurbished. Let me tell you! Whoever is in charge of repairing the MacBook pros is doing a fantastic job. I had ordered the same MacBook Pro with less memory from Buspry and received a dented up aluminum case MacBook with a screen replacement job that was so botched. The M key didn’t work. I returned the unit and reordered. The laptop came in two days. Almost mint condition. The tiniest scratch. Everything else was immaculate. The screen perfect. No scratches. Keys work perfect. The laptop is clean. No dents. It looks almost brand new. It’s been operating fine. I would recommend double dex refurbished again and again. Im you guys keep doing what you’re doing. You’ve earned a customer for life!

Good Laptop
I bought this MacBook for simple everyday use and for work but no longer work for the place I needed it for so I use it just for my daily use. This laptop is surprisingly great with small games, I wanted to start playing games to pass the time and it runs the games as it should, maybe a little loud with the fan and battery may not last but I normally use it in clamshell mode anyway so the battery isn’t a horrible issue. I would say for around $450 it is great, I at first had a bit of issues with the space bar but after about an hour of typing and breaking it in it seems to have fixed the issue. When I first got it the battery was completely dead as expected but took around an hour to charge to a state of being able to use, the screen had no problems, it is amazing value, setting up the OS is simple and quick, the screen had no cracks, scratches, or anything wrong with it, and the laptop itself had a great overall appearance with no buffs or scratches to be seen. If I had to recommend a laptop that is affordable, works well, for school or work, or even just daily use I would recommend this one. Great job with the refurbishment!

Las especificaciones anunciadas son las mismas que el producto recibido. La computadora no tiene ningún daño físico o rayón en carcasa ni daños en display. Tiempo de carga y de uso de batería satisfactorios. Tenía mis reservas por comprar reacondicionado, pero al tenerla en mi poder veo que vale la pena la compra. Excelente relación valor-precio.

Purchased a laptop to use for working from home. The computer broke down in under a year. The logic board needed replacing and is cheaper to buy an entire new computer than replacing this one. The parts replaced in this “APPLE MAC” are not from apple, the power cord that came with the laptop is known to explode and catch fire. Complete scam of money and sold dangerous parts that could have burned down my home. Amazon please contact this seller and stop them from selling more defective dangerous products

La laptop funciona bien en general, aunque tremenda decepción se lleva uno al recibirla y que no funcione una parte del TouchBar y además otra parte parpadea.No me gustaría devolverla pues la necesito para mis labores. La compré por la TouchBar y no funciona bien. Me gustaría que Amazon me la cambiara por una que si funcione bien, en lugar de solo darme la opción de que me devuelvan mi dinero en casi 3o 4 meses.

La verdad es que llego completa y funcional en todos los aspectos, tenia mis dudas pero igual Amazon te protege con su garantía de cosas restauradas ante cualquier problema, eso me tranquilizo, la cosa es que no se si no se especifica o yo no lo leí pero el teclado viene gringo, o sea en ingles jaj, si ese no es un problema para ti, no dudes en comprártela, para la Laptop que es, esta muy buena y aunque quieran sacar una cada año como si fuera iPhone, esta todavía te va a aguantar muchísimo y va a ser veloz por muchísimos años.Lo único malo que le pongo es que venia con manchas de pegamento o suciedad y se las quite con un borrador de goma.
