Works GREAT!!
I connected this to my Sony HDMI Blue Ray / DVD player and found that the only audio adapter that worked is “JUEJUEZI HDMI Audio Extractor, 4K HD” which, at the time I purchased it, was just shy of $12.It’s a bit of a wiring jungle but both units worked and now I have movie theater sound via Bluetooth.

Love it!
I use this M8 to stream Tidal music from an iMac to an Accuphase c200/P300 driving KLH Model Nines (updated) or Janszen zA2.1. There is no loss of fidelity, the imaging is solid and the space is intact. Highly recommended. I really appreciate having the remote control not having to physically adjust the C200 volume control is a real convenience !!

It works well with an Amazon Fire TV Stick rev3
I’ve been looking for a reasonable Bluetooth in-line volume control w/wireless remote and there just doesn’t seem to be one. I was ready to get one of those cheap Bluetooth amps and finally saw this thing. So, I decided to try it.Pros:Setup was a breeze. It works well enough with my application. It’s it has a modern tech appearance, small, unobtrusive and reasonably well built.Sound quality is perceived at HiFi quality, I don’t do any electrical testing unless it sounds like garbage.Free from hum or other noises. The built in battery is a great idea. The fact that this is a universal transmitter or receiver. The remote works properlyCons:The remote is too small and feels like I could snap it in half by accident. And, I do not have large hands. The Bluetooth receiver audio out seems to have lost some “punch”. The device has an amazing output level as mentioned by some – when the Bluetooth pairs, make sure your audio amp or headphones are turned WAY DOWN. i have this connected to a Creative Labs 2.1 desk top speaker system. It’s only rated at 6W. When this thing announced that it paired, I nearly jumped out of my skin. Never heard what this sound system can do at max vol. However, back to the Bluetooth audio. It would be great if this had an optional (or standard) 3db gain boost for the Bluetooth Receiver audio out. I normally have the speaker system input control set at 2.5 for soft listening or 3 to 4 for theater level sound. With this, I have to keep it set at 8 for a usable sound level with the remote set at 26. (goes to 30)Mark

Not great
I’m not tech savvy, but was able to finally get this to work for my needs. However; I have it connected by optical cable, and the speech rate is 10+ seconds behind, so it’s disturbing watching TV with the speech rate SOOOO lagging.

32 Days After…Updated
…purchase and it stops working. Stays on and won’t respond to any of the buttons. Nor will it connect with any device in RX or TX mode. Can’t turn off because of battery, and no way to reset through buttons or by any pinhole-reset. And, of course, failing on 32nd day means no return available. A waste of money.Update:So, within 2 days of posting my review, the seller contacted me 2 see if I would accept a replacement. I told them if they sent a replacement, and it lasted for 40 days, I would amend my review. They sent it, after obtaining my address, and I set it up as I did the first. 41 days later it’s still working. So, I’m going to call the one that failed a fluke. And, here I am re-rating the product. It really is a good product with a seller that backs it 100%. The price is fabulous, which is what attracted me to buy it in the first place. Well worth it.

No Codec Switching, Opt does not work either
The good thing is that the RCA and Aux inputs work, along with the battery.Thats where the good ends and bad begins, the optical input would not transmit, I tested it with multiple other optical bluetooth transmitters and they all worked just fine.Aside from that, there is no way I found to chose which Bluetooth codec is being transmitted (AptX LL and HD are advertised in multiple times in the listing)Again, other transmitters were able to (automatically, I will add) send those codecs, so I know that this was the odd man out. If you’re only using analog signals then this would work fine, though the remote didn’t work either (checked under a camera to see that the Infrared LED was sending signals) so with all that said anyone looking for more advanced BT protocols should steer clear of this transmitter.

Connectivity issues
This product works with Bluetooth Speakers but does not work with Airpods Pro Gen 2. I want to stream my TV audio to my Airpods while my wife listens with the TV speakers, so she does not have to endure the higher volume I need.

Great TV add-on
This device was ordered to use as a sender and controller for a set of bluetooth headphones for TV use. I like that it has a remote and with the way I connected it to the audio output of the TV I can use the remote to control the volume. It has great connectivity and comes with the wiring for most applications. It is very compact and that make it easy to use anywhere that space is a premium. I thought the price was very fair for what the device does.
