Overall excellent jacket.
Super nice jacket. For me, it’s very warm, and yet keeps you cool as well. I’m always cold, and generally wear a hooded sweatshirt under my jacket. With this one, I’ve not needed one. We’ll see when we get some sub-freezing temperatures again, as I’m in California, and the lows have been mostly mid to higher 30s lately in my area. I’m pretty sure it will be fine as the bottom stays snug against you, keeping the drafts out. The sleeves do as well, and I love that the canvas extends below the cuff, hiding it. The hood is nice and large, drawstring will tighten it to the point it looks like a ski mask, and when zipped up fully, the neckline is nice and snug. Ample pocket space, but can’t use the outer pockets for a cellphone without it standing, risking it falling out. Inside pockets are zippered on the left and velcro patch in middle of right. Left can close with my s24+ inside, but in right pocket, it fits, but blocks the velcro. Small details in my opinion, but may matter to some. As for the zipper, it’s metal(looks like brass), and feels like it’s robust enough that it will last the life of the jacket. Overall, excellent quality as always.

Must Buy for a High Quality and Affordable Winter Jacket
This jacket is one of my best purchases ever. I got recommended to it by my friend’s dad who had the same jacket (J-130) for over 25 years. I can tell why it held up for so long. This jacket is perfect for work in the cold or just for styling your outfits (I know you kind of people exist). The fabric this is made of is absolutely astounding and the stitching matches that as well. Along with that, there’s so many features that aren’t advertised on here like the inside zipper pockets and pen holder built into the right side hand pocket. The design of the cuffs allow for a perfect fit with any winter style/skiing glove. The part that absolutely sold me on this jacket was the zipper though. Typically Carhartt kind of misses on their zippers in my experience (especially with their backpacks and lunchboxes) but this one is very high quality. The one downside I can think of this jacket is the plastic aglets (the things on the end of the hood drawstring). Other than that, this jacket is perfect and 100% worth the $130 price tag.

Great coat
The coat fit my husband perfectly. He wears a 3x. It has good coverage, especially the length. Sleeves had enough space and the inside cuff will keep the cold out. Very pleased with the quality and sturdiness. It was thick material and water resistant.

It’s not super thick but it’s definitely a great carhartt coat !! My husband works a very rough dirty job as a welder in the sheet metal union and it hasn’t gotten torn up or as dirty as his regular coats ..perfect for the price and even though it’s not that thick it still definitely keeps him really warm during this past winter !!

Forgot how nice these are.
It’s been many years since I purchased one of these. Have dealt with wo many sub par knock offs and similar styles. So warm and nice. Complete outfit with coveralls and shirt. Call me captain Carhartt. Great fit XL 6’3″ 220 and long arms. Nice fit, color and great quality. When this one goes out after 10 years…will buy this again. Maybe sooner than later with the way quality seems to tank.

Love it. Warm. Comfortable. The zipper is tight but it seems solid. I wish I had ordered the long but this isn’t bad, I just prefer a longer jacket.

Awesome jacket
Awesome jacket. I bought a large blue and I am 5’10” 190 lbs. Perfect fit. Looks great. Not nearly as stiff as you’d think. It feels comfortably immediately. I’ll try and update this in a few years as it wears.

Brilliant jacket, I’ve been wearing it almost daily for work and out and about for about 3 months now. I did see some reviews from people saying theirs was covered in hair? Mine was fine. Also saw one that said theirs arrived in a bin bag, mine came in plastic Carhartt packaging.The coat is very warm, it’s a great fit on me (I’m 6’1”, about 170lbs and I ordered a large).The fabric is extremely durable, I’ve caught it on fencing/metal at work and it hasn’t even scratched. Some people might not like it because it’s kinda stiff, but it’s durable enough to last a lifetime.I saw some people saying that the inside pockets came away from the lining quite quickly, mine are fine but I can’t really comment because I don’t use these pockets at all.

There is a reason why there are soo many exceptionally positive reviews regarding this jacket and he’s another one.The jacket is very well made.Quite comfortable to wear and not to heavy, while being so robust.The sizing makes sense as it’s a jacket that is to be worn over a jumper.You could go 1 size smaller if you usually wear a shirt then jacket, without a jumper.Hood is large enough to cover a hat/beanie but not too big to to cover your face also.It is nice and warm as you’d expect with Thinsulate lining, yet still breathes.Cuffs are nice around the wrist.External pockets are large and perfectly placed.Internal zipper pocket a tad small (couldn’t fit Samsung Fold phone) other pocket has Velcro.For reference I’m 6’4″ about 110kg, the jacket sat perfectly over a hoodie with a bit of space.
