    I’m a Dork
These bells work exactly as described. I did a gravel bike race in Whitefish, Montana and attached these to my handlebars as recommended by the race committee. Trust me, EVERYONE knew I was coming. The bears, my competitors, everyone. Put them on your bike, your dog, or your belt. They’re a nice noise maker without being annoying.

    works well on a bike
I bike on a college campus where pedestrians don’t pay attention to where they are walking so this helps to alert them of my presence. One thing though is that it doesn’t ring as loud as I want it to be so I have it in a place on the handlebar where i can move it with my thumb to make more noise.

Essential for Safe Hiking with My Dog
Coghlan’s Bear Bell has become an indispensable part of our hiking gear. I use it whenever I hike with my dog, and it’s fantastic for keeping track of her while she hikes off-leash. The bell easily attaches to her harness, and its sound helps me locate her quickly. Plus, it serves the additional benefit of deterring bears, adding an extra layer of safety on our adventures. It’s a must-have for anyone who enjoys hiking with their furry friend. Highly recommended!

    Definitely big bells
These are definitely some big bear bells. Magnet works to quiet them. So far so good. Easy to use, put one on my doggo collar and one one me. Can’t give them a 5 star rating until I come across a bear, that will be the deciding factor on if they work. If you don’t hear back from me with an edit…well figure it out…

    Works great!
I bought this bear bell to put on my backpack for our recent mountain hiking vacation. It is very well-made and loud enough to alert bears of our presence without being obnoxious. I was impressed at how well it was silenced once inside the mesh bag. Great value – it was super inexpensive. Would buy again!

Hiker in the mountains should have these with them
A good bell for a hiker to carry with him if he’s going to encounter wild animals. Convenient to Carrie. Very light and easy to use.

    Great product and quality but…..
Please do your research on the area you’re visiting, I went to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Both times I was stopped by park rangers and was told that the bears in that area, are attracted to the bells and will be curious if they hear them. It just depends on the area. They are well made and even have a magnet to stop them from making noise. I kept them for other adventures.

Decent Bear Bell but Not Loud Enough
This bear bell isn’t as loud as the one I bought at the national park, but it does make noise. Just that—nothing more.

These bells are great. Vacro strap to fix to collar, net bag attached with magnet in seam to put over bell when not in use, great idea. Warns animals of your dog’s presence, can hear her in wooded areas now the days are getting lighter and not wearing lit collars so much. Great buy, very sturdy. Also good for anyone with visual impairment, hence 5 stars.
