Really good beginner dvd!
I like this dvd very much. I took five golf lessons and it was ok. But, I think the instructor that I had was not a good one. Then one month later I purchased this dvd. This dvd is what taught me how to swing the club. I do not know if it will work for everyone, but for me it was just what I needed. It starts from the very basics of the swing and builds from there with exercises along the way that help build the swing as you are introduced to it. I have been working on my swing for about 5 months and am very happy with it. It seems to be repetition of the basics over and over that worked for me. Learning to relax and build muscle memory are important the keys. Months later, I pop in the dvd and run through he basic swing building exercises and they still help. Right now I am slowing building distance. But, because of this dvd I hit straightand with great consistency. I still have a long way to go. But, I feel as though I am headed in the right direction. And the funny thing is that when you swing correctly it does have an effortless and good feel to it. Golf is a strange sport..ha ha. When I try to hit hard, it always goes bad. But, buy the dvd and you will see what I mean. Good luck!

Great Video
I’m curently deployed in Afghanistan and some of my fellow soldiers found some irons and balls. They started to hammer the balls. When I saw them I had feeling that their grip, swing and everything else looks much more diferent than those what can be seen in TV. I also wanted to try the feeling, when ball fly over the fence into the mine field, like in my favourite series MASH :-). So before to get many of bad habits, I decided to buy this instruction DVD. Yeah I had to wait before I first hit the ball, but what a results!!! I watched the DVD, I tryed to understand principes of good swing, I did all the excersises. After just 3 days of practicig (totaly about 8 hours) I set the camera, and when I watched it,I found that It is not bad at all. Plus accuracy is better and better every day. I can’t wait when I’ll be at home, and after I’ll enjoy my wife, than right to the club. You can probably imagine that climate in afghanistan is not favourable for grass. The only thing what could be added to this video is, warning, which musles are the most affected during swing and how to stretch them properly, to avoid injuries.Writer of this comment ask for apologize for his english 🙂

After playing at golf for over 5 years, I fell into a serious slump and was hitting very poor shots. Tried a few lessons, but nothing “clicked”. The Leadbetter DVD covers all aspects of the games. What helped me the most is the computer graphic of what the swing should look like. You visualy see the swing plane being developed as the swing progresses, and as they say; “one picture is worth a thousand words”. I also found the visual and suggestions on making a full backswing turn very helpful.

Ledbetter Golf Instructional DVD for Beginners
The DVD is worth the money and helps a beginner get started in the right direction. I would recommend it for someone just starting to play golf or someone who has played awhile with no instruction other than what they received informally from the friends they have played with. The DVD covers the very basics of the long and short games, and offers a few additional tips for females and seniors. However, there is no substitute for professional face-to-face instruction. I later took a group training class at a local golf club and learned 10 times as much from the instructor compared to the DVD, but the cost was also 10 times the cost of Ledbetter’s DVD. Having a pro analyze how you are swinging the club and being given the opportunity to ask questions cannot be accomplished by watching a DVD.

Full of very good drills and tips on how to fix flaws and build better fundamentals. I also have the Hank Haney 3 club tour and they are similar but offering a different perspective.

This is not an original copy and is difficult to watch because the voice is not in sync and the overall image is fuzzy. Both faults make it too distracting to watch which is very disappointing.

Two stars for “From Beginner to Winner”. Oh my. The DVD is an ideal support for the BEGINNER. Golf lessons from a club pro are certainly useful but the time passes quickly, the lesson is over, and that’s it until the next lesson. This DVD is strong because it is not spending excessive time on any particular element of the learning process. Its strength is in its very effective presentation. Each segment is clearly set out, nothing is so involved that one fogs over.This DVD helped me to clean up my swing (still not perfect and never will be) and become more natural…less concentration and tigntening of muscles. I especially liked the training tips given to work on inside one’s own home to improve mind-body control (without breaking furniture).I could continue in this vein, but will stop by saying that this is an ideal beginners aid to be used alongside lessons at the local gold club.There are easy to understand tips for everyone and I can promise any starting golfer that the DVD is totally up to date in confronting the basics. Once you have got a grip of the basics, you will no longer be a beginner and can move on to more complex training DVDs…including ones produced by Leadbetter.I think the previous reviewer failed to understand who was being targetted for this DVD.

Great for beginners. Solid instruction and great drills to construct your swing. Multiple topics short game, senior golf, ladies ect. I found the swing chapter most useful. Again great DVD for anyone new to golf.

There is a reason why David Leadbetter is considered one of the best golf instructors in the world and these DVDs shave shown me why. Mr Leadbetter has clearly forgotten more about golf than most other golf instructors will ever know. He has an ability to put his subject across in such a way that a ‘dunderhead’ like me can not only understand but also take to either the range or the course to put into practice.If I’m totally honest, I bought all three of David Leadbetter’s golf instruction purely to save money by buying ‘in bulk.’ On reflection, this was one of the rare occasions in my life where I’ve actually got something right! By getting hold of all of the series I feel that I’ve got my own course. I would encourage you to find out for yourself exactly what I mean!
