Pleasantly surprised
I live in Maine and during the workday spent a lot of time walking through the snow in the winter time. I really want to try to find an alternative to having to wear snow boots cause by the end of the day I’m exhausted. I’m a crocs girl so used to light footwear. I thought I’d give these a try without much expectation. When I received the socks and opened them, I was like oh these are not going to be comfortable. I was wrong. These are super comfortable. Keep my feet dry and warm while wearing my lined crocs. I was so happy with them I bought a second pair and will be buying more. Fit is true to size. I wear a women’s size 8 shoe and bought a medium.

Great for our day hike!
I am a women and wear a size 8 shoe. I bought the size large, though I meant to buy a size medium. I recently bought these socks because I am going on a hiking trip up to Boundary Waters and it involves canoeing and portaging, which involves walking in water. I wanted something that could cushion my feet to prevent blisters when we are hiking, and also keep my feet comfortable and dry. I had asked a question before buying to see if these were good for hiking, and the only person who answered had written a 1 star review for the socks saying they were worthless. The other reviews seemed good, so I decided to give them a try anyway. I’m so glad I did!Like I said, I ordered a size too large than I should have, but I decided to take them on a practice hike anyway. My friends and I went to a local state park and hiked for about 3 hours, covering over 4.5 miles up and down hills, and also trudging a LOT through creeks and shallow rivers. I have to say, I was really impressed by the socks. They kept my feet dry and comfortable, and I didn’t develop a SINGLE blister. The day high was about 85 degrees, and the socks weren’t too hot for the hike. The socks also covered my lower legs/ankles well, making it easy to walk through the brush. However, if you step in water that goes above the sock level, water WILL get in the sock, and once it’s in, it can’t really get out. However, my feet were still comfortable and I didn’t even know there was water in the sock until our hike was over.I would recommend these socks! I am actually going to order a longer pair in the correct size, but I’m keeping these ones to give to my fiance (who is a size 12). Overall, good product!

Better than I expected
I took these socks on a backpacking trip that involved snow, mud, and water crossings. The first day, I wore my darn tough socks and it got drenched and muddy. I was afraid these socks would give me blisters as I had 15 miles left on my hike.They did better than I had hoped. I didn’t get blisters or hot spots. They kept my toes warm and dry. Although they did get a little wet on day 2, I wore them on day 3 and they dried up while wearing them. I will definitely bring these on future trips that require mud and water crossings.My darn tough socks were still wet from day 1 while these were dry.

Womens 9-9.5 shoe I would recommend sizing up to a large unless you don’t mind tight socks
These socks are warm and well made. The feel of them is like the scuba socks I use to wear for cold weather swimming. I found the sizing chart off and had to size up to a LARGE to fit my womens 9-9.5 size foot. The medium was too tight on ankle and against toes. The company was responsive to my concern.I purchased pairs for my husband and I for a vacation where the weather can be very unpredictable with frequent rain. We will not let rain slow us down but stinky wet shoes would. We plan to pair with hiking sandals so thickness of socks does not matter. I do not think these would fit inside my sneakers as too thick.

Don’t let water go over the top or else.
Seems like it took 3 days to dry out once water got inside of the sock. It’s waterproof but if water enters due to deep water then not ready to use again the next day at all.

Dry feet!!!!
My Son in Law works at a car wash! I got him a pair of these for Christmas. He loved them so much he asked for more. He said they fit great, didn’t fall down all day, and when he got home his toes weren’t all wrinkly from being wet in his boots!! He washed them every night, till I got the 4 other pair for him, and they have held up very well. No pilling or stretching. I would definitely buy these again or for anyone who wants to keep their feet dry!!

I have a light-ish pair of waterproof socks and they work well, these ones from Dexshell are a little thicker and more robust feeling. You can feel they have lined inners and so they are quite thick. I couldn’t comfortably get these on with most of my boots and trainers I wear normal socks with as they were a little thick compared to normal socks. I feel these would be more suitable for wellingtons or if you tend to wear thick socks with your boots already and have sized for that.They seem well made and when tested were fully waterproof.

I’ve been looking to get a pair of waterproof socks for a while as each winter my feet get cold and damp as it seems almost impossible to buy a pair of walking shoes nowadays that are properly waterproof. Although I don’t plant my feet in streams or puddles, simply tramping through long wet grass whilst walking the dog is enough to soak my feet. I used these socks from DexShell on a dog walk this morning and they performed admirably. Admittedly the grass wasn’t quite as sodden as it would be in winter, but it was enough to make my boots wet, yet my feet stayed dry and I’m very happy about that.I ordered a large for my size 10 feet and the fit is great. They are only ankle socks and I would’ve preferred more material up the calf, but that’s okay. I found them quite warm too. My feet are constantly cold so no socks ever make my feet truly warm but these were better than expected. The other thing I found good is that these are very comfortable for walking, or even just sitting around in.These socks are also priced very well I feel. Doing some research beforehand, I found that quite often waterproof socks seemed to have a high price tag, but these are actually pretty decently valued and affordable. I’m happy to give these 5 star rating for now. I can’t comment on longevity yet, but I will return to amend this review if they don’t live up to long term expectations. Recommended.
