Light weight

Lets the hot air out and the cool air in
I got this hat to replace another one that was finally starting to wear out. This hat fits well and is incredibly lightweight. The bill is stiff and has a nice curve. The hat is made from very thin material with no “shape” built in – whatever shape your head is, that’s the shape the hat will be. The stitching is even and there are no loose threads. My use of the words “lightweight” and “thin” is not meant to imply “flimsy.” This hat is designed to be cool.As you can see in my photos, the sides and back of the hat are covered in tiny holes that let the hot, moist air out and cool air in. Even the cloth at the top of the hat is so porous that you can see light through it. I gave it a test run at pickleball today (87° and 85% humidity). Yes, it was hot and sweaty, but the hat was unnoticeable. It did its job.One of the best parts is the “logo” near the front: SPORTS. It reminds me of John Belushi’s sweatshirt in the movie “Animal House.” All it said was “COLLEGE.”

Good hat / stubborn wrinkles
I wear this hat when out walking to keep the sun off my head and out of my eyes. The bill is long enough to do so. If it didn’t have the little air holes, it would definitely trap a lot of heat as 100% polyester does not breathe. I like that the top is deep enough so that the hat stays on where I want it to. Stitching is neat and straight and no loose threads. I also like the silver reflective material which offers a tiny bit of safety. The only thing I didn’t like is that the wrinkles are stubborn. I tried to steam them out and yet they remain.

Light weight hat – good for warm climates
I always wear a hat when out in the sun to protect the top of my head as I don’t have as much hair as I used to. I prefer light colored hats to keep as cool as possible so I ordered the light grey color.The hat is made from a thin nylon type material. The material is thin but feels very strong and I have no concerns about it tearing or wearing out. Being made from thin material should help it be cooler to wear.It has lots of tiny ventilation holes that seem to work well as I have worn it out in the bright sun several times and it is probably the coolest wearing hat I own.It fits close to the head and does not stick up high in the front like a trucker hat.This is now my go to daily wear hat.
