Great device to access any 2.5″ or 3.5″ drives
This works great, right out of the packaging. It comes with an optional power cable, which is only necessary when plugged in to a 3.5″ spinny hard drive; It works fine without power, on a 2.5″ spinny or solid state drive. The cable and connector feel sturdy, tight enough to not come lose or worry about becoming disconnected accidentally.Tested on both Windows and Mac, and thanks to the USB-C, also on a couple Android devices, everything reads it without issue. All my systems recognised it right away, without needing drivers. Just plug in a drive, plug it in to a computer, and it’s literally just plug and play! Transfer speeds are great, too. It’s perfect for all those old drives without requiring a big docking station.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do! Transfer speeds are legit USB 3 speed. Very sturdy. The only “sort of” con is this. The SATA pin connection is very tight. Don’t gorilla it. Push straight in and pull straight out. This is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 Stars.
