Perfect for your hockey player!
My son plays all the time. Just attach them to and outdoor net and start scoring. Leave them up but I recommend taking them in during rain/winter so they last longer. We did crack one of our holders but we just taped it and it still works fine.

The “high impact” plastic ring broke on the first shooting session. I am disappointed that the kids hooked them up to the net and within minutes of shooting they broke. I had to pull up the description to see if they only could be used with foam pucks but they didn’t. Not worth it because the poor quality.

Great for younger kids
These are probably best for smaller kids that dont quite have the power when hitting pucks. My son broke them right away using pucks. Maybe using plastic pucks would be better for these.

These seem to work pretty well. They are actually bigger targets than what I thought but work fine. I do notice they fall out of the holder east on a windy day so be mindful of that!

Good for practicing aiming
My son loves to use his hockey targets since he doesn’t always have a goalie to play with. These have been a good addition to the net we have set up for him. We thought he’d hate setting the foam pieces up every time he knocks them out, but it hasn’t bothered him.

We have had lots of hockey practice during this quarantined time at home thanks to these great targets! Our 8&9 year old set them up and take them down by themselves and enjoy training with them.

We used a set similar to these at the kids practice for a “skills competition” and they seemed to work ok there but at home in the back yard they only lasted a couple days before they broke from a puck hitting them. Pretty good chance a puck will hit them so safe to say they won’t last. If you need them for a one time skills drill they’d probably hold up but don’t expect the kids to be using them for years and years.They are also a pain because you need to reset them everytime you hit them, hang a can from the cross bar, way more fun…
