A Hit with the Kids—Great for Indoor Fun!
The Franklin Sports Over the Door Indoor Mini Basketball Hoop has been a huge hit with my boys! They love playing with it, and it’s a fantastic way to keep them active and entertained when they’re stuck indoors. I was impressed to see these little basketballs actually dribble on hard flooring and our area rug. The hoop has not been used, yet. But it appears to be well built. The basketballs are used for indoor physical activity for my husband who has Dementia/ALZ. We have not broken anything, yet, in passing the basketball back and forth. The size of the basketballs are ideal for indoor play. A fun activity for kids to adults. This set would make a great inexpensive gift for anybody.

This door hoop is very nice, it has a decent size rim.The ball is alright, it’s nothing special. The air pump is also a bit garbage. But aside from that, the actual rip and hoop is fine.The noise it makes is kinda loud, and kinda annoying. And the quality is good.The major drawback for me is that it’s very difficult to assemble by yourself. There’s many times where when I was putting together, I had to hold many things at once and it was annoying and complicated.In conclusion, I reccomend this product if you have the patience to assemble it.I hope this review helped. My boys love them, I got 2 one for each. They are strong and well made the net is not great but we purchased new ones no big deal. Other then that, they are fine. My boys are pretty rough with them and they are holding strong. I did purchase foam balls, although the rubber ball is super cute and strong, it loud. Overall I’m happy with this purchase.

Easy to put together and a clean look!
The basketball goal was easy to put together. It has a clean look. It came with a pump and a basketball. The basketball is like a mini real basketball. It has a weight and texture to it. It’s good for teens and toddlers alike. It was a gift for a 3 year old instead of the bulky toddler hoops. He loves it and so does older siblings.

Think about where your door is and how it swings. This needs a wall-stud mount.
This hoop and board originally arrived with a net hook missing from the rim. The manufacturer quickly sent out a replacement rim. So, good on them for standing by their product.You need to think about where the door in the room is along the wall and which way it swings. In the room where this hangs it’s on a door that swings toward the corner of the room (as I’m sure many many other doors you have do as well). So when the room door opens the rim of this hoop bumps into the adjacent wall before the door is fully open. If your door swings open away from the room corner you’ll have less of an issue. However, there is still a solid metal rim swinging into your drywall either way.For the more DIY inclined consider getting some lumber from your local store and screwing this thing into those then those into the wall studs in a more centrally placed spot on your wall. Beside the issue of the opening door, there’s also the noise and vibration from bouncing a ball off of it while it’s on a flimsy interior hollow-core door.Bottom line: Think about if this will hit the wall when you open the door and consider putting it directly on a wall instead of on a door. It’s sturdy and enjoyable, but the design of placement isn’t well thought out.

This has a nice large back board. Easy to assemble. However, the over door hooks are not adjustable up and down. This is a deal breaker as our door can’t close with the board attached as the door jam is too low and hits the brackets. It’s the same for all our doors. The manufacturer has assumed all doors are the same. Such a shame. 2 star deduction for this.
