Exactly what I hoped it would be.
Most important thing: all the reviews saying these run large are correct. They’re meant to be worn over clothes.I’m 6′ 6″ and 300 lbs (and no, it’s not all muscle :o) ). I usually wear a 36″ inseam and a 38″ – 40″ waist, and 2XL tall in shirts. I would normally have ordered the 2XL size, but I went with XL based on comments about sizing. XL turned out to be a nearly perfect fit.Fit:~ The length of the pant legs is perfect. The waist-band is elastic with a draw-string, which I don’t need because they’re a snug (but not tight) fit. There are narrow velcro straps at the ankles to adjust the fit, which is great for bicycling.~ The coat is almost as good a fit as the pants, but it could be just a skotch longer. Not a real problem, just a preference. The bottom of the coat also has a draw-string to help with the fit. The arms are just about the perfect length.~ The hood is very large, possibly too large, especially if you’re facing into the wind and not using the draw-strings to cinch it tight. It will fit most of the way over my bicycle helmet (and I have a large head, thus a large helmet). It’s detachable.Construction:~ There are no pockets on either the coat or pants.~ The material really is like a reusable shopping back, but not at all flimsy. I don’t think you’d have a problem with tearing unless you wear it around brambles or scrap metal or other snaggy stuff. I can see where piling might happen, and I’m pretty sure thistles would stick to it.~ It’s super lightweight.~ I don’t think it would be very packable. The material is a bit too stiff for that, not like nylon. This is more of a hang-up or fold-up kind of rainsuit.~ It’s very breathable. Aside from the excellent fit, this is what I was most excited about. I try to bike in all weather. That could be very cold rain, sweltering rain, or snow, depending on the season. Yesterday I rode in the rain both to and from work. It was around 40F (4C) in the morning and 50F (10C) in the evening, and it was very windy. I wore a short-sleeved button-up shirt and khakis underneath. I could feel the air moving against my skin and it kept me cool, but not too cool, and it kept the rain out 100%.

Funky shapes and sizes
Jury’s still out on durability… feels like a flower garden weed barrier, maybe a little softer like damp cardboard. The pair arrived today (before the hurricane) so for fun I weighed the bag and it was .86 pound for the top and bottom. I felt adventurous so I carefully opened it knowing I’d be returning it… but wait! Everyone that said it runs one size bigger was right, well sorta.See I wear a Lg tshirt perfectly and 34×32 pants. So I ordered a medium. This is where I got scared. While wearing gym shorts I slide the medium pants on which are 35×33 as measured with a fabric tape. I did a squat or two and they didn’t rip so, I’m good. Let’s just say they’d be snug over jeans or impossible if I ever gain an inch in the waist. Oddly, still comfortable-ish for the price and quality.On to the jacket… my arm length is 33 1/2. At it’s best the arm of the jacket is 32. Hits right at my wrist bone. Kinda stubby sleeves. The girth of the midsection is 48 inches from chest to bellybutton. Yes it’s that short. So much for showing my hourglass figure.Fortunately, I can hike the hippily pants up a few since there’s room for a basketball in the crotch. But when I do my ankles show when I sit. Won’t be wearing these on the bike. Maybe — on the boat with some wader boots.Anyhow the shoulders are roomy and the hood will also fit a basketball (I tried). It has a drawstring like the pants so it’ll work if needed.Next test I dialed it up a notch. Yeah, I hopped in the shower. (I’d rather know in a controlled environment than outdoors.) It held up surprisingly well. No leaks that I could feel and with the nozzle at my back the hood did fine.Everything was dry except any exposed skin.So the moral of my story is “it works” if you’re wearing a thin layer while standing or walking. If you’re going to be wearing layers or sweats, riding, or sitting in a boat; you may want buy your actual size. Just remember there’s plenty of room in the jacket if you have a keg instead of a 6 pack. The pants – not so much.I’ll follow up Re: durability after a few wears.

Exellent rainsuit for a cheap price,if you were large size,buy medium size and you’ll be ok

Bought these as a summer light weight set. Bought an XL as that’s my usual size, however the trousers are absolutely colossal in size and the length would be better for someone with six foot long legs. Both the jacket and trousers feel like they are made from paper. As for water proof, that’s a joke, a small shower and wer through. Very disappointed
