Purchase price is good for a tested internal SSD.
The price is good for a used ssd but be aware it already has time on it. It came unformatted. I performed a partition creation and an exFat configuration without problems. The data transfer speed is about 124 MB’/s which is almost as fast as the Samsung SSD’s I have in my machine. I would give it 5 Stars but for the following condition noted when tested.Received this internal SSD. I used Hard DIsk Sentinal Pro to check its history. It has been used for 786 days and 9 hours, has been cycled 1,675 times (start/stop) and has been written with 282.60 TB’s of data. With this stated Hard Disk Sentinel gives it a clean bill of health for 100% Performace (Excellent) and 100% Health (excellent).

Great drive for a good price.
The iDSONIX X20 1TB 2.5 inch SSD is a solid drive. It’s SATA III and claims to have up to 560MB/s read and 480MB/s write. It uses 3D NAND flash memory but I was unable to find out whether it’s SLC, MLC or TLC. I had never heard of this brand before but I had the opportunity to try it out and it came at a good time because I needed a drive for the PC I just put togtether. After installing the drive in my PC I ran a couple of CrystalDiskMark tests (1GB and 4GB) to see what the speeds were. In both test the Read speeds were near the maximum claimed the the write speeds exceeded it. I’m definitely impressed and satisified with the results. I don’t know about the longevity of this drive since it’s new, but it does come with a 3-year warranty.Overall, it’s an excellent drive. It’s fast, efficient and it both meets and exceeds the claimed read/write speeds. The price is good and I certainly recommend it. 5/5 stars.

Standard Cheap SSD, Beware Mystery NANDs
I picked this up for an old PC I am fixing up. I have a weird fascination with opening cheap SSDs up to see what is inside, and in this case, it is nothing very remarkable one way or the other. It has the same early revision Realtek board design that most cheap SSDs use these days, with the RayMX clone chip controlling the show. As with all boards of this design, the speed will be higher until the cache is full, then it falls off by about 30% or so. The NAND chips on it are no-name, so I wouldn’t trust them with anything important. It may also be worth doing a write test of the full capacity to make sure it doesn’t crap out at some point. For my usage, on an old computer that I am just playing around with, it certainly beats an HDD, and the price is right. If you need something you can rely on to store important stuff, you’ll want to back up frequently, or if possible spend a bit more and get a more modern drive of known quality.

This just happened to be a savior
I run 2 ssds (made by Intel. They were very expensive and very fast) and I’ve been needing to do a fresh install of windows but i kept putting it off. I was down to limited space and all the stuff i needed to back up wouldn’t fit on the second drive. This drive came at the perfect time where i could review it under real world conditions. So i installed this as my main drive, but i was worried about speed. My main ssds (pcie-x16) are very fast but this is holding its own. This is actually loading windows faster than my main ssd. Even though my 1st installation is a little corrupted and loads slow i still expected it to be faster than a sata drive ( due to the pcie-x16) but this sata drive is beating my loads times and is running just fine as my main master drive. So now i can xfer my data between the other two drives at my convenience and i am happy with the current setupI can truly and genuinely recommend this product

Good Stats!
SSDs are one of the best upgrades you can buy for an older system especially with prices dropping so much over the years. If you have an older PC you’d like to use as a guest PC, or maybe something for kids to play “edutainment” games on, this is something you will want to look into. This iDsonix drive isn’t the fastest in all the land, but has very respectable stats for a SATA drive. It also copies existing data from my Samsung NVMe drive very quickly (see screencaps).I actually have no complaints about this device, except that I can’t speak for its longevity. It comes with a 3 year warranty, which is pretty standard these days, but I don’t know how easy it would be to return (RMA) this should a fault arise.Like other bare drives, if also doesn’t come with a mounting kit, so if you’re wanting to buy this to replace a standard 3.5″ desktop hard drive, you’ll need to spend around $10 for a kit as well.
