Try these if you need practice
I have found these balls are a good value for practicing my swing in my yard, for working on timing, balance and control. If that is your purpose, here are some comments and tips to increase their usefulness.I’m not good with a driver, so I’m not a low handicapper but I’m pretty good with shorter irons. I use these balls for full iron swings, e.g. 6 iron. If I blade the ball (hit it too thin) these will dent, otherwise not. Not sure about denting if you’re using a driver, long iron, or if you have a 100 mph swing speed. If I hit it on the seam, it will crack, so I position the ball on the mat to avoid hitting the seam. For me, a full and solid 6 iron will carry 40 yards before hitting my trees or dropping (in comparison, I like the “almostgolf” brand practice ball, but they go too far for my size yard). The flight trajectory is somewhat similar to a real golf ball, but hooks and slices are exaggerated; a better golfer than me will have to say whether draws and fades are exaggerated and by how much. Nonetheless, these balls are good at telling me whether the hit was straight and solid. Sometimes the ball will balloon extremely high; I’m not good enough to know why swing-wise, but if it is due to backspin then maybe golfers who generate backspin will not like these balls so much.A tip to prolong the life of the balls if budget matters: After a ball is dented, it will return to its original shape if warmed up. At first I did this by submerging them in warm water for 15 minutes or so, but sometimes this let water get inside, so I drilled two small holes on opposite sides of the ball to drain it out and even so these balls behaved like new ones. Now I wrap dented balls in a small heating pad at the low setting in order to undent them. Most of the time these warmed balls look just like new ones and behave so. But if they are severely dented or dented multiple times, they may not hve perfect shape after being “reinflated” by warming. These imperfect balls can still be used to tell me if I make a solid hit, slice, or hook, but the flight is usually shorter or erratic like a knuckle ball. Also, I did try to re-glue a ball that split at the seams with SuperGlue–it was easy enough to do and the ball worked fine for a few swings before re-splitting, so I quit trying to re-glue them–maybe other glues would work better.Of course these balls are not a substitute for the real thing, but they are good for me to regain muscle tone, flexibility, and swing speed after a winter lay-off or injury, before going to the driving range.Below I have copied “golfer-useful” comments from the other reviewers and pasted them here for convenient reference to see what others think. Although some have stated that these are just like ping pong balls, they definitely are not. The plastic is thicker and pliable (that’s why they will dent). They are as light as a ping pong ball but they are not brittle; a ping pong ball would probably crack like an egg with the first swing. Also, one person said these are bouncier than golf balls, which is not quite true. When dropped from the same height onto concrete, a golf ball bounced much higher. When dropped onto a plywood sheet, the plastic ball bounced higher.Comments copied from other reviewers follow:These balls are nicely balanced for a Chinese product and they fly fairly straight.I use them a lot to practice swing. Easy to clean up due to not flying far.If you’re about a 50% hitter like me. The balls will dent and crack so be patient, learn to hit 80/20 and your balls won’t be destroyed so soon. Still very awesome for practice! So much better and more accurate than the balls with the holes in them. The ball acted the same as regular golf balls in terms of direction. This practice ball responds crispier than others after a nice hit but also does not last very long. Still cheaper and more convenient than going to the range and will work to improve hand eye contact as well as ball positioning.A little lighter than I expected, but they are intended for indoor use so that makes sense. Been using them for chipping practice in the back yard. You do get a feel for how a ball would react off the club face.I find that when hitting these plastic golf balls by NOT hitting on the seam they last a long time.I love these practice golf balls because I can hit the ball with full swing and it still within my back yard. ( I hit my driver for only 125 -150 in the driving range thus it work for me). It still showed me the height of the ball or when I made a mistake and my ball went flat. I prefer these plastic ball more than the foam golf ball because the foam will fly out from my back yard if I hit with full swing. This one is great practice for my backyard. They are cheaper than going to the driving range & will show if you are drawing or fading the ball. They do split at the seams after a while.I use these plastic golf balls to practice wedge shots into a target about 30 yards away. After a week of use, the balls have all retained their shape—they’re good quality. Strikes also give you a good sense of whether you’ve hit the ball straight, hit a fade or hit a draw.I hit balls every day and bought these for the rainy days when I am stuck in the basement. These are much better than the whiffle ball type golf practice balls. Outside, you can actually hit them with a little curve. Great for learning to make easy swings and let the club gather momentum and strike the ball.I use these at my daughter’s house in the side yard. They are fly straight and act like real golf balls, except they don’t fly as far and are easy to spot in the grass and woods. Very pleased and will buy more.

Great for a kids birthday party
Not only is this pack of balls great for practice, a kids party and saving my windows . They are such a great price that we just buy more because once the dog gets to them, people lose them or no one is willing to get them off the roof, we need more. So much fun.

Great to practice swing!
Neighbors prefer my son to not hit real golf balls near their home- these allow him to practice and not worry about neighbors homes!

Decent pitching machine ball
I’ve been using these for the Heater Crusher pitching machine which uses golf ball sized plastic or foam balls. These are working well and come out faster than the foam golf balls. They are a bit smaller so two balls will come out at a time quite often. The plastic is also breaking down from going through the machine. Still though, these are working better than the foam balls sold by Heater Sports.

Imagine a hollow white plastic ball that looked like a golfball but doesn’t feel like one. That’s what this is. It also has more bounce to it and makes ping pong ball like noise when it hits something.
