Windows wouldn’t activate
Edit: I increased this to 4 stars because the replacement they sent me works very well. Windows worked properly as soon as I started it up. This one doesn’t have a touch screen, so that’s a bummer…. but the fact that the original one had it was just a bonus anyway.Original review:The laptop itself is a great deal for all the features you get. I overlooked that it has a touch screen which was a pleasant surprise. It was physically in great condition too. Very clean and almost looked factory new.However, on startup the problems began. Windows couldn’t activate which didn’t allow many of the customizing features to be used. When trying to activate it the PC would freeze up completely. The first day I received it I spent several hours force restarting. It would freeze up even when trying to do a factory reset.The return process has been easy so far and a replacement of the same model is already on it’s way. I guess we’ll see how the next one works.

ERROR Battery upon arrival
I was wondering why I could not turn the laptop on without it being plugged in.I let the laptop charge over night and in the morning went to turn the laptop back on. Could not turn on the computer. So I plugged it back in and tried to turn it on. That worked.After setting it all up and customizing the computer I was greeted with this Battery 1 Error.”The battery has failed due to normal wear. The battery cannot be charged. Replace the battery.”

Great value for a solid, proven, business quality laptop.
I just got this a couple of days ago, but I have to jot my initial overview.To the quick: For those of us who are fans of Think Pads – from the IBM days to the Lenovo days, or even if you might want to switch from a current Dell or HP ‘company-issue”: If you want a great machine that won’t disappoint you, for personals use or on your business use: Get this one!The refurbish/upgrades done are on spot for what you ‘need’ now and can handled your transition to Windows 11… at a great value.So far, so good on about a week of using the machine.As with any new, used or refurbished machine; expect to take the time to run all of the OS Updates, the Lenovo updates (important) and spend the time configuring your PC to your best optimized preferences before you “jump right in to using it” in general.# Took a while to make sure the correct, current, Driver updates were installed and it took a while to get the camera to work properly. [The refurbished machine that I got had an installation of SplitCam.. which I think was either not completely installed correctly or not properly un-installed. This kept conflicting with every camera that I plugged into the machine (no image or immediate drops) – even using the standard Windows Camera App.] I resolved by uninstalling all camera apps and drivers and re-installing from scratch “clean” – after I got the cameras to work with the Windows Camera App.; I downloaded and installed a fresh SplitCam.. and this works perfectly now.]So, current state: Happy with the purchase. Timely deliver, great condition of the machine, all hardware and OS/Apps (as a new baby) are humming as expected.Last note: The refurbishing done on this machine did not take into account on doing a few updates to get it ready for the upgrade to Widows 11. [i.e, related to BIOS and Disk Partitioning.] But for me, (as I think I know what I’m doing :)) this is another minor ‘update’ that I can do. So, if you are not a tech-savvy person; don’t attempt an immediate Win11 upgrade right out of the box.Yes, the CONS: This is an (older) Laptop, and a ThinkPad at that. (If I were to buy a different Lenovo – it would be the Legion.)The PROS: It is a great, proven machine, solid, reliable (upgradable) – to a decent extent, and that can live a few more years in as Windows 11 environment. At a great price.Overall: Thumbs UP.

Beware… You may not receive the same laptop as before
My first had a touchscreen. It lasted a year. The second didn’t. I would return it, but I am worried about what they would send me. It might be in worse shape or have less features than the one they sent me now. It would be helpful if they told you exactly what you are/aren’t getting. Because even if you click to order the same laptop, you don’t get that. You don’t know what you will receive. If you don’t use the touch screen, it’s not a issue. However, I used it frequently. I’m disappointed with this purchase.

Necesitaba una computadora con capacidad para un programa especializado, hasta ahora todo excelente. Supero mis expectativas. 👍🏻
