Well, it’s ONLY 500X faster than a clunking, locking, overheating “no name” chinesium based, mechanical HDD in a laptop. AND, I got another one for the parents’ office computer.

I typically prefer Western Digital (red) over any other brand, but their prices have drastically increased over the past year. I’ve have had a few Lexar products in the past and decided to try this SDD for my current project. The price was fair for a 1TB. I had no trouble initializing this drive using an external adapter and my old HDD cloned over easily and quickly. This SDD has cut my bootup time to less than 15 seconds for a Windows 8 desktop pc that is about 15+ years old (I perform various upgrades every few years).
