An SSD that saved my Gaming Life
After getting a more recent upgrade to my laptop (and by that I mean getting a new one completely), I was in need of a hard drive to hold the video games I owned. The new laptop I got, I chose to sacrifice space for performance. I don’t necessarily play a lot of Triple A games or anything, but I play enough games that do require a lot of space and some rather impressive graphics either way. Previously I was using a rather updated and fancy external hard drive to run them all from. While these games did run fine from the external hard drive, they were slow, clanky, and did have loading and connection issues. Nothing game breaking per say, but definitely extremely frustrating to wait on a loading screen for 10 minutes because the game has to load from a hard drive instead of a a SSD. The external hard drive I used was extremely new, and touted one of the best options for external hard drives that you could buy for gaming. But it wasn’t making me happy. After experiencing one of the games I had the most issue with on my actual SSD after making the transfer for convenience sake, it was time for me to find a better hard drive–or a portable SSD. When I found this one, I’d done a lot of research, and I settled with this one simply because I wanted to be extra. My new laptop doesn’t have RGB lighting, and so, why not be extra and get an external SSD that does?Originally the truth was I wanted it only because I was growing frustrated by the lengthy loading screens and the issues with downloads. I was being extra. It wasn’t necessary for me to have this. It was something of just… convenience out of annoyance. That was what I thought anyway. The truth ended up being so much different. I expected the external SSD to not function nearly as fast or accurate as the actual SSD in my laptop, but I was so pleasantly surprised. All my games ran smoothly, so smoothly that I literally sat shocked at how previously a loading screen that stayed for 10 minutes, I couldn’t even check the alert on my phone with the new transfer. I’d loaded so quickly, that a single notification on my phone I couldn’t properly look at because I was already loaded into the game and having no issues.I thought surely there would be speed issues. That i’d have at least some clunky gameplay or small issues. I had none of them. The SSD did so much more than I was expecting. What felt like originally something I didn’t need, I suddenly couldn’t live without. What I thought would just be nice to have for a faster loading screen, instead became essential. Add in the fact I have a rainbow all the time now on my laptop while playing games that before were struggling a bit due to the external HDD I had? I felt my gaming life improve ten fold. The hard drive is fast, sleek, comes with it’s own stand, has multiple USB options for transfers. I had no issue with transferring data between it and my laptop (I will say I do have a more updated USB connection so I’m able to get full speeds but even so). It was absolutely up to date, quick, had no glitches, nothing. The external SSD took what I’d been struggling with in non Triple AAA games, and made it look like they never existed. If you think that you might only want this to update something or that it might only make a small difference, I can tell you now, it will make a world of difference. This external SSD has made my gaming life so much easier, smoother, and perfect in ways I cannot describe. If you’re debating it? Stop. It’s totally worth it point blank.

    Faster, compact and affordable
This works with all systems including my iPhone, laptops, ipad and TV. Smaller to take in pocket and convenient to use as it has good length of cable. As its a ssd so its reliable then HDD and speed it gives is faster than any pen drive or hdd

6+ months of use, review time
So I ordered this awhile ago, roughly 6-7 months. I love that its small. Takes up no space at all. The lights are nice, and the space is great. I use this for gaming.I have world of Warcraft, diablo4, pathofexile, starfield, and various other games on it. It writes somewhat fast but it slows down during downloads. I knew it wouldn’t be as fast as my built in nvme SSDSo I don’t mind the time it takes to download a game onto it. If cyberpunk takes 35 minutes to download on my PC, it’ll take roughly 2 hours on the external.Using the thunderbolt c USB didn’t make any difference in speed. No USB slot changed read/write speeds but again I knew it was expected. Most games play really well on it, a few might take an extra minute to load in but it’s ok. I’ve never had issues on the games I play. Some games actually won’t play well on it. (New world). That was a bad experience but transferring it onto my Ssd was easy and then it ran well. If some MMOs had better support for external ssds, this would be the best one I’ve owned. Don’t let that deter you from buying, this SSD is really great for the price and does work really well for most gaming.

Nice little drive permanently part of my set up. Bought to contain one game with tons of add-ons and hasn’t had any issues. Slim and fast.

    SLOW
This drive is sooooo slow. I’ve used other brands in the past at this speed and they functioned so much better. Build is fine, works fine with my MacBook Pro – but I don’t have days to sit here transferring files and photos. Will not be repurchasing.

    Great portable SD drive
I bought two to put my music and movies on. One of the best portable drives I’ve used. Copies quickly and transfers very fast. Comes with a handy stand and the lighting is a nice touch. No errors on either of the two so far using ith my TV or the pc.

al parecer rápido en lectura y escritura, pero para mi gusto pensé que podría ser mejor para trabajar en él material directamente desde premiere como lo hago con otra marca, no es necesariamente fluido en es caso
