Great Pants…
These pants are lightweight and very durable. They fit perfect and are very comfortable. Great for construction work . Purchased 3 pair.

Great fit!!
These convertible pants/ shorts were perfect for our recent cruise in the Bahamas! Although the first thing I did each morning off the ship was to take the legs off. Perfect for evening dining as many of the establishments required pants. Zip the legs back on and your good to go:)

I compared two brands! (s)Toomett came out on top
I will be hiking the El Camino July of 2024 and I need a reliable pair of pants. Thus I ordered two brands to compare. Both brands (Toomett & Jessie Kidden) were made with 90%nylon 10% Spandex in China but the material in the Toomett’s seemed a little more robust. The down side of this is they are definitely noisier. The price difference was negligible. The fit of the Toomett is tighter in the legs (I have muscular legs thanks to genetics and exercise) and they seemed appropriate to size ordered. The fit of the Kidden is roomier but the leg lengths are overly generous and will drag on me. The Kidden has leg cuff strings for tightening where the Toomett does not.The Toomett has a longer fly zipper and a metal riveted button fastener at the waist; the Kidden has a tiny zipper (like ladies pants) and a barely sufficiently sewn plastic button fastener. The Toomett has wide belt loops and comes with a belt, the Kidden has skinny ones and no belt. The inside of the Toomett has a soft material liner around the waistline that will help keep tucked shirts in place and the Kidden does not. Both have deep mesh lined slant pockets. The Toomett’s cargo pockets are deeper but the Kidden ones are bellowed. The Kidden zippered pocket has a cover where the Toomett is exposed. The hook and loop fasteners on the Toomett pant are more robust but placed near one side. The flimsier hook and loop on the Kidden pants are placed in the center of each pocket. Both companies pants have zippered leg releases to create shorts but the Toomett zipper is a bit more robust. The length of both pair of shorts hit at my knee caps.Overall the Toomett seems more likely to last 35 days straight of walking and hand washing where robustness will be more important. I just hope the noisiness doesn’t drive me nuts.

Lightweight stretchy convertible cargo pants, ideal for hot/humid climates, 6 pockets & belt
My wife and I are planning a trip to Taiwan and SE Asia this spring, so I need lightweight, quick dry long pants that also convert to shorts. I saw these Toomett convertible pants on Amazon and wanted to give them a try. These are classic cargo pants with large patch pockets. I got the Apricot color which is a very light faded-looking gray/tan color. The material used is thin and quite stretchy which is nice. The included belt has a press-clip type fastener (which I dislike because I always inadvertently lean on something and open it) and has a hook to help keep the excess length controlled. However the belt is ridiculously too long and will have to be trimmed back. The pants have (only) 5 belt loops to keep the included belt in place. (I may have to add a D-ring on the left side to hang my collapsible water bottle). The waist fastener button is made of stamped metal and should be robust. There are a total of 6 pockets: 2 side slash pockets, two cargo pockets, and 2 rear pockets. The RH cargo pocket is secured by a flap with a single patch of Velcro, and the LH cargo pocket is secured by a zipper (that unfortunately is not quite full width). Both rear horizontal slash pockets have a pull tab and are secured by a single patch of Velcro. The waist has an elasticized section on each side, above the slash pockets. The zippers work smoothly and are very quiet. The side slash and rear pockets are constructed of mesh material which encourages quick drying. The zipper pulls of the zip-off legs DO NOT have ID tags on them to facilitate quick and easy re-assembly, so you may experience some trial-and-error during re-assembly. Curiously, the zipper pulls of the zip-off legs are located on the insides of the legs, so you may feel them occasionally as you move about, or sit.I have a 33″ waist and initially ordered a size 32, however since I wanted a bit more room in the buttocks area, I returned the size 32 and got a size 34, which has the looser fit that I like.I expect these Toomett lightweight convertible pants to be very comfortable and versatile. I like the stretchy material and the light color, and the price is good.

I really like these pants.
I didn’t know what to think the first few times I wore these. On two occasions, the zipper on the legs gave way and separated after only sitting down. It was a pain to get the zipper back to the start to rezip them back together. But so far, after they have been washed a few times, I haven’t had this issue again. (knocking on wood now)After wearing them for a few months now, I can honestly say that they are great convertible pants. The pockets are all very good. They seem like they are a slightly smaller than the size states, but not much. I also like how they have some cotton in them. Much more comfortable than the totally synthetic ones. Although the trade off is that they take somewhat longer to dry out.I will definitely be buying more of these in the future.

Church Pockets. They are holey.
I have purchased at least 4 pairs of these pants. While the are very comfortable and stand up well to stains, etc. They do have one big issue, and that’s that the backpackers tend to wear out quickly and the seams come off leaving you with holes in the pockets. I have holes in every single pair I own. Maybe my wallet is too sharp? Not sure, but I won’t buy these again.

Used these pants for a long backpacking trip (7 days). I would say it’s a great pair of pants, the material is waterproofing and dries pretty fast, convert to a short for a hot day which is my favorite feature of these pants, and save a lot of weight because I only carry a pair of these pant for the whole trip and the price is very affordable. The only problem I have is fitting. I purchased size men 32 but it’s a bit big and I need to wear a belt which I normally won’t do for that size but still give this product a 5 star. Will buy a smaller size
