AWESOME ILLUSTRATIONS

Ok, ok, I’m not an artist – but I feel a bit like one when I’m colouring in these amazing pictures. I’ve been following the illustrator on social media for a few years so was keen to snap this up as soon as he announced it. All the pictures have just the right level of detail for my liking – detailed enough to be able to express some creativity when colouring them, but not so detailed that they’re a chore to do. Love the shading in the pictures themselves, so even if you just do a flat block of colour there’s still a sense of depth to the end product. You can tell there’s some real thought gone into this book, down to details like the colour test page and the tear out pages to stop ink bleeding through to the next picture (although I just use thin card from a cereal box). Can’t wait to get my hands on the classic cars and sports cars editions, but I think this one will keep me going for a while anyway!

Completely love this!!I bought this for the kids to fight over, but they’ll never get to see it.. It’s now mine!The detailed dynamic illustrations just convey SPEED!! The book is well thought out with no reverse page printing, so you don’t get bleed through and there’s even blank pages at the back to tear out and put under the page you’re doing, to totally make sure that the next page is kept pristine..I’m going to give this 9/10.. I would have been 10, but I’m going to have to buy another 2 copies now for the kids!!!
