Orico Msata review
I ordered this MSata drive to replace a defective one in my son’s Samsung notebook. I noticed some rated slow write times. For me it worked perfectly. Windows 11 installed wicked fast from a thumb drive. GOOD DEAL here folks!

Good product
Works as expected, and pretty cheap for what it is

Speed is identical to an older Crucial unit.
Works fine as expected, speed is just as good as the old Crucial unit it replaced.

Works for older systems. No issues so far with stability.
Works good for older systems using this form of SSD. Not AS quick as NVMe, but still helps boot up way fast and 512 is a decent size for the harddrive. I’ve found many a system from 2012 to 2015 with these slots in the computers, but they were using spinny drives for their main. This way was able to convert computers to faster drive, and use the spinny drive for storage. While I haven’t long term stress tested it, it works fairly well so far. Remember, with all SSDs, once you go past halfway full, it will start slowing down. Also, do NOT defragment these.

Pretty good mSATA SSD.
I don’t know what the lifetime is, but I bought 2 64GB a couple of years ago for the same price as these 128GB, for a project that stayed in a dome in the desert full time. They are attached to Raspberry Pi 4B’s. One was a spare. The main one lost the ability to boot. I got these to replace them both. They’ve been running a couple of weeks, rebooting often, and they boot noticibly faster than the old ones. Time will tell how long they last. I’m not in the desert any longer, so they might last a few more years.

fast delivery, worked well, I ordered 2 more
Mr. Bill –
Very fast, giant drive for older computers.
We have an old laptop that takes this mSATA format, not the new m.2 style. This unit works perfectly, nearly maxes out the SATA bus speed, and provides a ton of storage.

Reasonable cost, and fast
Got this for an older laptop with a failing HDD. Since the laptop had a connection point for an mSata ssd I thought why not. Easy to install, so much faster then the HDD. Great price point and good reviews, easy decision with great results.
