    Great Affordable TLC NAND NVME
I normally don’t leave reviews, but this one deserves it. Solid gen 4 NVME for the price, especially given the screw, heat sink, screw, and thermal is included. I tried a different model before this one, but the heatsink did not fit in my laptop. I have a very thin laptop, and this one sided ssd fit perfectly. So if you have a laptop,no worries. Chances are, this will fit.It has a TLC 232 NAND, a 2400 TW rating(4tb), a MAP1602 processing chip, and the build quality is top notch. The 7100 model comes with a TLC OR QLC, so I’d recommend this model. So far, temps have been steady and cool, but I’m not pushing it hard. I’m using it as a secondary drive, not a system drive. As far as longevity goes, that’s to be determined as I’ve only used this for nearly a month. The company has a good reputation for dependable external drives, so hopefully this carries into their new NVME drives. The only downside I have is that their Amazon listing does not have as much product information as their website and there is an error in their description. Is says that the 4tb only has 1200 TW but on its website it states it has 2400 more than once.If you need a thin, fast, and affordable gen 4 NVME, this is a no brainer.

    Latest tech for the money
Very nice MAP1602 processor TLC 232 level SSD. Moving 500 GB file at 300 Mega Hertz, 1TB IG740 Pro was awesome for about 240 GB before drive running out of SLC cache then speed went down to 90 Mega Hertz which did not improve even after drive was two thirds full

    Super fast, good price
This SSD is incredibly fast and delivers exactly as advertised. Read and write speeds are impressive, making it a great choice for gaming or heavy file transfers. The price is very competitive compared to other high-speed NVMe drives, making it a solid deal. Easy to install and works flawlessly, definitely recommend!

    No proper ASPM Support
Don’t get me wrong it’s a fast SSD, but it seems to not have proper ASPM support which can prevent C states lower than C3, which may be problematic for laptops.

    Very, very fast
*** SECOND EDIT ***I finally got a chance to put this into a machine that fully supports pcie 4, and the speeds are even better than advertised: 7216.95 on the SEQ1M-Q8T1 test of CrystalDiskMark. That’s as fast as I’ve seen. The only downside is that this SSD runs hot at that speed (perhaps not surprisingly).Temperatures during the CrystalDiskMark test briefly spiked to 72 degrees C, which is higher than you’d like. After that first spike, it settled in the high 60’s. That’s using the heatsink from my motherboard. It’s possible the supplied heatsync might be better, but I won’t be running it that way.So I’d conclude that this is likely one of the fastest SSD’s on the market right now. I’m leaving my rating at 4-stars because it runs warm, but maybe I’m being unreasonably picky. In any event, this is a nice, fast SSD, and I have no problem recommending it.*** EDIT TO FIRST REVIEW ***After thinking about it a bit, I realized that my tests were only showing pcie 3 speeds, and I realized why. The machine where I did my testing had a pcie-4 capable motherboard, but it had a Ryzen 5300g CPU, which does not support pcie-4 (only pcie-3).Of course I really couldn’t tell the difference between pcie-3 and pcie-4 speed, so it’s kind of academic. This ssd is plenty fast and has been working great for me.I’m revising my review to 5-stars.*** Original review below ***This is a perfectly fine NVMe SSD, and I’m happy with it. It’s very fast, and in the real world it’s speed is just fine. It comes with it’s own heatsink, which looks fine, but which I didn’t need, since my motherboard had one. That said, I did not see anywhere near the “7100MB/s Read Speed” advertised in the description. Maybe they measure it differently than what CrystalDiskMark shows, which is 3692MB/s in the SEQ1M Q8T1 read test. That measurement is on a fresh windows install with the SSD in the primary (PCIe 4.0 slot) of my AsRock Steel Legend b550 board. In the real world, I don’t think it matters at all for 99.9999% of the people who will be using it. Do you regularly copy multi-gigabyte files from one PCIe 4.0 drive to another? Do you even have 2 PCIe 4.0 slots on your motherboard? I don’t. So I don’t think it really matters. So I am docking a star for what I consider to be overly optimistic advertising, but really this is fine.

Quality budget PCIe 4 NVMe SSD
I have the 1TB version and on Orico’s website, the claimed Seq Read/Write speed is 7100MB/6500MB. With my desktop, I have no problem getting beyond 7100MB but a bit short on the seq write. Overall, in term of the performance, it is very solid, beating some of the bigger brand, e.g. it performs better than my 980 Pro. I am not sure why some reviewer gets much lower speed (probably inserted into a PCie 3.0 x 4 slot or some system issues). Specs mentioned nothing about caching, so that’s probably where it fails short compared to more premium models. Furthermore, 600TBW definitely isn’t stellar, when there are plenty of other 1TB models reaching beyond 700TBW. I wouldn’t use it on my home server for running VMs or LXCs. However, consider it as a budget model, for just normal desktop usage, it is more than adequate, especially with that very respectable r/w speed performance. I can’t comment on the longevity but I have not run into any issue using it so far.

    As advertised, great speeds
Just like other reviewers I can confirm it’s getting advertised speeds and is comparable to the more well established brands. As of the time of this writing it seems to be one of the cheaper options for 1TB PCIe 4.0 speeds (after discount). So I’d give this a shot if the price is right.

1 month in – Did not fully test the speed but from everyday use with file transfers and gaming, it was very stable, and reliably quick on performance. I can’t say how it performs when stressed but in all general use cases, it pulls ahead of its other models.
