    Nice Feature Packed Unit.
I bought this to use in my Bedroom along with my 55″ Plasma. I run a Cable Box, Roku HDMI, and Bluray player into it. I’m currently only using 2 Channel Stereo as I haven’t decided on a full surround sound system for my bedroom. I use two 4ft 3 way Tower speakers, so far…Only negative I’ve had, is at low volume amplifier’s cooling fan is noticeable during quiet audio passages. Other than that, no complaints.

You get what you pay for…
I was looking for a cheap 5.1 receiver. Well, I should have been careful about what I wished for. This is NOT a 5.1 Home Theater Receiver, this is nothing more than a Karaoke machine that happens to be able to do 5.1 (and doesn’t do either very well).I tried one, returned it because the 5.1 wasn’t working even when using 5.1 media. Replacement did do 5.1 surround (poorly). Returned after a single day of use, and I bought a Denon AVR-S540BT as a replacement. Save yourself the aggravation and get a real Audio/visual receiver.Let’s be real, you don’t care about my story, you are here for the facts:1) The HDMI Input *will* do 5.1, but ONLY if the input is providing 5.1 media. Otherwise you get Stereo only (no bass speaker).2) You can not force/upmix HDMI, Radio, Aux or Bluetooth stereo into 2.1, 3.1 or 5.1. If the input is stereo, you only get stereo. This means for Bluetooth and AM/FM radio, you will not get 5.1 sound, ever and only get 5.1 if you have Aux or HDMI inputs which are sending a 5.1 signal.3) There is no “Listening Mode”, “Sound Mode”, “MultiChannel Stereo”, or “All-Mode Stereo”. Meaning you don’t get to listen to music on all the speakers. If you connect your PS4/PS5 or XBOX to this, make sure the game or movie/show you are watching is broadcast in 5.1.4) Does not do any Dolby processing or decoding and no ARC on this. The 5.1 processing is passable at best. If you play any Dolby 5.1 type audio, prepare for distortion, crackling and sound ‘fluttering’.5) The receiver must be physically on for the HDMI passthrough to work (physical power button pushed in).6) When the receiver is on, the fan is always running7) Power button on remote puts the Receiver into standby, does not turn it off.8) No matter what volume level you have the speakers set to and no matter if you are playing Stereo, 2.1, 3.1 or 5.1, a slight buzzing/humming will be played on your speakers.9) Mic inputs were unreliable. I tried a few different mics in all 3 of the mic inputs, adjusted the mic level, adjusted the volume, adjusted the echo and delay. Mic was either muted or breaking up or highly distorted. Mics themselves work fine on other devices.10) AM/FM reception is absolutely horrid. I have a 1990’s clock radio that can pick up better FM radio and my 1930’s Tube Radio picks up AM better!

Does not play well with Harmony 650 remote
Receiver is nice however it does not work well with a Harmony 650 remote. Since the on/off button is hard, you cannot turn on/off the product with the remote. Also, you cannot get get the volume to work with the remote, so I am stuck using two remotes, one for volume, and one for the rest of the home theater set up. Also have to manually turn on/off the receiver each day. The receiver, when on, is fairly noisy by itself, but not noticeable once the source sound is turned on.

Excellent Receiver/Amplifier with Built-in BT Technology
My old Onkyo receiver/amplifier stopped working properly so I started looking for a replacement. I found this Pyle product on Amazon and when I saw the specs and the price, I did not hesitate a second and ordered it right away. The specs I loved the most is the BT wireless streaming for karaoke and the 4 HDMI and 3 pairs of RCA inputs, and speaker terminal posts for my sorround sound speakers. I also hooked it up to my mixer and karaoke hardrive and it just perform superbly. I am really happy and satisfied with this product.

    Features yes, Quality no
I was looking for a Receiver amp that had similar features as some of my 80s Technics equipment LED displays along with new Bluetooth capability and could drive my home theatre system. On paper, this Pyle really seemed to fit the bill.Right out of the box, I found that the unit is oversized because the entire bottom of the unit was dedicated to mic mixing… useless for my intended purposes of music listening and movie use. Also the labeling looked cheap and oversized as well. Big disappointment. Additionally, this unit had a distinct oder that smelled of a smoker (Note: this was a “like new” unit) so it may have been from the first owners. At any rate, I hooked up speakers a gave it a listen, and it sounded OK… average, like when your toggling your equalizer settings between flat and classical verses Rock. Also the equalizer display was not reading the sounds, but randomly flashing. On the good side, the Bluetooth feature hooked right up to my IPhone. But between the smell, huge mic mixer bottom and equalizer, I decided to box it up and ship it back. In fairness, this was not a brand new unit… but the photos, both on Amazon and Pyle web sites were much better than the unit itself.

Was worth the money for the mic jacks inputs
I purchased in Dec of 2018 and enjoyed the ability to hook up mics for karaoke. The sound quality isn’t the greatest even after adjustments were made. I would rate it less then average quality but considering the ability to sing karaoke I am ok with it. The issue came in April 2019 with a burning smell and then sound was gone. Error came on the display. I contacted Pyle customer service for a replacement and was told to send it to their service center. Now after reading the steps needed to get a replacement one of them is to of course to ship it out. CUSTOMER TO PAY SHIPPING. BOTH WAYS! While under warranty! That is where I decided that this product is not worth the money I paid for it. It will cost more then half what I purchased it for just to ship it out to get repaired/replaced even while still under the 1 year warranty. Total BS. And they ask for my C.C. info on the form to pay for shipping the replacement. Its not my problem that their product is defective but it became a problem when the customer has to pay that kind of money to get a replacement for their bad workmanship still covered by warranty. Don’t waste your money.
