Kept me dry. Very lightweight. Hood gets in eyes.
This is an upgrade from my previous all-PVC rain suit, which I had to get rid of because it split in an unfortunate place. It’s made of two layers, a thin polyester fabric shell with a very thin PVC lining (which, after some years, will inevitably crack and flake off), and seems to be properly sewn, with even seams and extra stitching at stress points. I washed my car and worked outside for a several hours, all the while in pouring rain, and stayed completely dry. The knees did not soak through despite frequent squatting and some kneeling. The jacket’s I would have liked to have an inside chest pocket for my phone.The hood has a lot of extra material, like it’s sized to wear over a hardhat. If you’re not wearing one, you’ll probably want to put on a baseball cap to hold the hood out of your eyes. The material is so light that any breeze, including just from walking, will blow the hood off your head if you don’t tie it.I’d say this is a good rain suit for occasional use. Because of the thin, lightweight fabric, it’s not suitable as heavy-duty outdoor workwear. I’d say it will be durable enough for daily dog walking or light outdoor work.

This was amazing! It kept me dry all day. The sleeve have an inner lining and it was a little snug only because I was also wearing gloves but it was still a great fit!

Very rain-proof, soft and thin so you won’t overheat, not breathable though and small hood
This is a very decent raincoat set of both jacket and pants. They’ll keep you dry from the neck-down, outside of your shoes and your head (depending on your size), and they’re thin but made of the same material you’d find in an umbrella or a tent, which makes them waterproof and lightweight. They also fold up very thin which makes it easy to pack them up for storage, and you can easily pack them into a small space.The material they’re made of is oxford polyurethane (PU), which makes them not breathable at all. If you try to wear these when it’s warm outside you will very quickly overheat and you’ll be miserable, so don’t do that! Additionally, the hood is unfortunately quite small, so if you’re like me with a large head size, you’ll probably want an umbrella to cover your head anyway, which is why I’m only giving this 4 stars.I couldn’t find a care label, so you’ll have to go based on the instructions in the description which state that you’re only supposed to rarely hand-wash and air-dry this set. Polyurethane isn’t heat-resistant so if you put this in a washer or dryer with heat you’re liable to melt it or damage it.The reflective strips are nice, they were what mainly drew me to these since they help you really stand out in any kind of light – which is important when it’s dark and rainy out. They’re part of the fabric, sewn in at the edges of the strips, which means they don’t provide an ingress path for water.The buttons and fasteners are all nice, they work well though they look perhaps a bit simple. They haven’t let any water into the clothing I’ve had on underneath. Aside from the hood, which again, is just too small for me and does not cover my head sufficiently. The hood does fold up into the zippered compartment on the back made to hold it, though, which I suspect is why it’s small.Overall this set of rain-proof jacket and pants are very nice as long as you don’t mind wearing a tent – you will not want to exercise in this unless you’re a fan of sauna suits. However, the small hood that means I need an umbrella anyway if I don’t want the front of my head and hair drenched, is why I’m only giving this 4 stars.I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis.
