Functional and Accessible
This hub was easy to setup and provided the layout of additional ports I’ve been looking for. The attachment cord is provided and the drive slot is easy to access. Very simple, no-nonsense hub. No issue setting it up and it serves my purposes just fine.

You can’t install taller drives into the device.
I love it except I didn’t realize it couldn’t fit a 5 TB drive. It has to be 9mm or less in height I think. A 5 TB is 15mm so it was to high. I have to return the drive and put a 512 GB drive in 🙁 Otherwise, I love having these new options. I’ll probably make the drive in the device a boot drive because the 256 GB internal drive makes an awful boot drive.

Solves the Expansion Issue Easily
Simple to install on my M1 Mac Mini, added a 1TB Crucial SSD and was up and running in 6 minutes. Attractive to see under the Mini, looks and works just as expected. Extra USB ports handy and easy to access. Very happy.

Easy way to increase storage on Mac Mini
Lots on USB inputs and space for SSD drive make this a no brainer for those wanting to increase the storage and connection capacity of your Mac Mini.

OK for extra connectors, not good for hard drive, not worth the money I paid for it.
There were too many disconnections from the computer using the stock USB cable that was provided by manufacturer, the connectors started to work fine after I replaced stock cable with high quality thunderbolt cable from OWC. The harddrive connection however gets still disrupted even with the new cable few times a day, I would never use this for keeping a system hard drive there, only a data drive with occasional use. The speed of access to HDD is fluctuating, sometimes it reaches advertised numbers but other times it gets very slow, down to around 10 Mbit/s at most, it looks like they used the cheapest possible components and put something together just to sell it in large quantities – see my screenshot pictures. Not a high quality product that I would expect from a Mac accessory, I would say it should cost $20-25 at most. Buy it for extra hub connectors and cooling but don’t expect a miracle from the HDD performance, replace the stock cable that they send you in a box with a high quality cable the 1st thing and throw that stock cable away.

This was very underwhelming for the price
For what it is, a shell of plastic containing an ssd connection and some front-mounted ports, this item was very underwhelming for the cost. I replaced it with a multi-port usb-c hub and TWO external usb-c ssd enclosures, saving about 50 bucks. Cost savings aside, here are some other thoughts on this:1) the top of the enclosure isn’t recessed very much, so my M2 Pro mini kept sliding off the side2) the transfer rates from the front ports and sd reader are very slow. I got about 1/3 of the rated throughput on these ports.Looking at it, it looks pretty nice and compliments the mini well, but with the mini sliding off the top and the slow transfer rates, I give this one a 2 star rating.

Good aesthetics and works well
Good aesthetics and works well. Raycue does not supply the data jumper cable to connect the hub to the Mac mini.

it works fine with bluetooth keyboard and trackpad linked to my Mac miniAll ports work wellThe USB3 ports support attaching a floppy 3.5″ drive (old Infocom discs) and a Samsung Blu ray drive – working well with MakeMKV. Not tested using both at the same time!I have a 2TB Samsung SSD in the drive space and it works well as a Time Machine disc. No dropouts overnight, but it did dismount this am – I don’t know why. The drives are not set to sleep and no power glitches.Perhaps in need of a firmware upgrade? I presume that the controller for this hub can be updated? I’ll keep an eye on thisSummary – looks great and works as advertised (better than as the blurb says that will not support drives attached to the front ports (does not support the Apple super drive – who still has one of these around?)Updated:after a week or two, I can confirm the problem with the disc drive being unmounted has gone. I did two things:1) in settings, set ‘prevent automatic sleeping when display is off’ to ON’put hard disks to sleep when possible’ set to OFF (the drive is an SSD, so no need to spin discs down2)) replaced the USB C cable with a short length cable from Anker – I did think of trying the original cable but it is now working well, so why rock the boat! Now, the system is working faultlessly and has 5 stars

When you want ports on the front (instead of the back – Apple are you listening!) this is an amazing little add-on and at a great priced.Bought as i needed the extra storage space AND the extra ports i.e. card reader – and a very simple process to get a 2.5″ sata drive added.Goes great with my silver mac mini, no issues with port usage i.e. things power correctly.highly recommended.

I have had no problems with this unit, only annoyance has been that the usb ports are upside down, but this does not effect anything
Symeon –
The USB ports don’t work when any of the Mac mini USB-C ports are in use, making it frustrating to connect devices. The size and design is not ideal as the product is much bigger than the Mac Mini, which defeats the purpose of a compact setup. In addition, the build quality is poor, the material feels like cheap plastic and doesn’t match the Mac Mini’s premium quality. In contrast the packaging over product is unnecessarily expensive. Making a huge contrast between a box that looks great, and a product that feels poorly made.Overall, it’s bulky, low quality, and not functional. Better options are available!
