Works like a charm
I needed something to read SSD hard drives as I recycle e-scrap. The price was really great on this. The size is perfect to store in a travel case and take it on the go. It’s perfect for traveling as it really takes up very little room. This was very easy to use, plug and play style and read the hard drive with ease and speedy. It’s made pretty well too, not cheap plastic.this is a great item to have to read the SSD’s for recycling, home or travel use.

Worth the price
Bought this to see if it would work with my Samsung Evo SSD. It does not, but I kind of figured it wouldn’t. Regardless this works perfectly with other SSDs so for that alone it’s worth the price.

KNOW WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE YOU BUY!
After learning more about this, 4 stars because it would have been helpful to know up front that this simple little SATA connection will probably not drive an HDD. No problems with an SSD. Had to buy the big one with the power supply to accomplish what I was after. So I’m into this by about $70. I’m happy enough with this and am going to keep it and use it on a 2TB SSD as extra storage.

Surprise, along with the Sabrent drive adapter, which works very well, comes the ability to download a version of Acronis TrueImage locked to Sabrent. For one, it appears to be a later version than the one locked to Western Digital. Additionally, using the Sabrent Drive Adapter is sufficient qualification to use other brands of 2.5″ HDD or SDD drives. From my testing, this later version of Acronis TrueImage seems to work significantly better/faster than the WD version.Bottom line – The Sabrent Drive Adapter is very much a Best Value.
