Good for indoor dribbling.
Not all that silent but it’s good for allowing kids to work on dribbling and handles while in the house. Definitely recommend getting one if your child can’t go outside to practice often.

A good indoor option
At a tournament a couple months ago, we saw some kids dribbling basketballs around the hallways and not making any noise, and thought, huh…that’s interesting. I did not realize foam balls were even an option for practicing skills, and thought what a great option for at home when it’s cold out.I’ve told me kids, if the ball goes outside, it’s then an outside ball!It did take a good 24 hours plus for it to come to a regular shape. It bounces fairly well, does take some force to get a good bounce back, which is probably good practice. All 3 kids like to play with it, dribbling, passing, bouncing off the walls. The one thing I will say, it is not silent. That will depend on the floor. If you have a concrete base/floor, yep, it’s going to be pretty silent. Bouncing it on a second story hardwood floor? You will hear a thud, might catch a bit of vibration too. Probably not something you want them doing if someone is sleeping.The lines are ok on the ball, and staying on. The shape is okay, although I question if it bounces true or not- to me it doesn’t seem to consistently. Looking for a foam basketball, there’s a lot of options and as much as $40 per ball?? This is the only one we have tried, so I cannot compare. This one is acceptable, if it’s cheaper and looking to save money.

Great indoor basketball
I love how quiet this this! It does seem to be of good quality and appropriate size. My only reason for giving it 4/5 stars is because it doesn’t seem like it bounces as high as it should. Otherwise, this is a great buy – especially for little kids!

My son loves this ball so much. He’s nine! He loves to play basket ball inside but the sound sometimes drove me nuts. No sound at all and it works just like a basketball. Good buy!!

Quiet bounce, hair magnet
I love how quiet it is while you bounce it but this thing is a pet hair magnet. It doesn’t just stick to the outside of the ball where you can just brush it off, it sticks into the ball so you have to pull out the hairs or use something sticky to get the hairs out of the ball. The lines on the ball are also ehhh, some places they’re light and some places they’re darker.
