“Single Dad Hockey Star”, by Rose Luv, is a fantastic book showing the strength, fears, love, forgiveness, and hope of the characters. This story snagged me in the first chapter, and never lets me go.

From a rocky start to a forever love
I liked how quickly I swept through this book, feeling light-hearted the entire time. It was easy to get hooked to it, as I was eager to see how the enemies-to-lovers dance was going to unfold between the main characters, Logan and Olivia. He’s a well-loved hockey star, but his team’s popularity is dwindling. To help boost publicity for his team, he is assigned a journalist whose job it is to shadow him and eventually write a piece about him and his team that will help attract a greater fan base. He resists this idea at first, as he regards reporters with absolute mistrust and disdain. His initial meetings with Olivia, in fact, were disastrous. So it became quite engaging to see how their dynamic slowly evolved – how Olivia eventually changed Logan’s wariness into admiration, mistrust into respect, and disdain into growing affection.I was surprised, too, at the chapters where the POV was those of Logan’s brothers. But it was perfectly fine for me, as it enhanced the appeal of the story by bringing focus on the close camaraderie of the siblings. It also paved the way for the teaser into what I hope will be future books in the series.I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Hockey player vs journalist vs life (clean, enjoyable story)
Doing what you have to do is what life is all about. And it is clear in this book, that both Logan and Olivia are in that mindset. But that become oh, so complicated as relationships grow and they get to know the person behind the facade.Logan loves his son fiercely and will do all he can to protect him from the media. He loves his position as a hockey player equally as much and will do all he can to protect his team from failing and losing their fan base. Olivia loves journalism and writing true to heart pieces that truly reflect life and the people and places she writes about. But… Logan has to agree to have Olivia follow him around for 8 weeks to write some in depth pieces about him and the team. Olivia has to write killer pieces to save both her position and the magazine that she sees as her future.What will become of it all as these two find a person behind the facade that is nothing like expected? That is what makes this story a joy to read and something of a surprise. It is a sweet, enjoyable story that reminds the reader that life is what you make of it, in more ways than one.I received a digital copy of this from the author. All opinions are my own.

I was drawn into this book and kept wanting more from the beginning. Olivia just wants to do her job and make a difference. Logan wants to protect his privacy and his family. Cute Story
This is an enemies to lovers romance story. Logan is a professional hockey player and divorced single father. When his marriage ended, he and Jake, his young son, were hounded and victimised by the media. They wouldn’t quit, so in order to protect his son and himself, he moved back to the family ranch and avoided reporters and almost all forms of publicity. Olivia is a reporter who has been tasked to shadow Logan and write an in depth piece about him and the team. Before being formally introduced, Logan and Olivia had an unfortunate run in and were instantly at each other’s throats. When they were formally introduced, and realized they’d exchanged ugly barbs earlier they were not amused. Olivia needs to do this assignment to keep her job. Logan needs to agree to the assignment because as the team captain and face of the hockey team, his assistance would help increase fan attendance and sales. This is an amazing book to read. The story is very good and the characters pulls you in. The brothers are good for each other as the story unfolds. The ending seemed a little rushed but still very good. You will enjoy the reading the book.

Never seen a hockey game, but I loved this book!
Olivia is a journalist. Logan hates all journalists. Olivia’s boss is a real jerk.Olivia is a journalist with ethics and standards. She is to shadow Logan for two months andwrite an in-depth article about him. Logan doesn’t make her life or job easy.They are both strong characters and their struggles make for a wonderful story. Rose Luv has done a great job of weaving a truly enjoyable book with some hilarious moments thrown in.
