    Decent Size, Great Features
This Camelbak replacement bladder was the first I’ve purchased in many years. Since starting back up in mountain biking, I previously used my older Camelbak with the bladder it came with. However, after using it for awhile, it finally wore out and needed to be replaced. I picked this kit due to the size of the bladder (2L) and the cleaning kit that it comes with. This new bladder allows you to disconnect the feeding tube which makes it super easy to pull out of your pack and clean. Previously, I used to have to remove the feeding tube that was routed through some tight slots in my pack. Now all I have to do is disconnect the tube and I can pull the bag out quickly, clean/dry and put back in without any other work.My previous bladder was well over 2L capacity, but I found that I never ran out of water while riding, no matter how long my ride was. Therefore, I picked the 2L bladder so it would fit better and give me a little more room in my pack. The cleaning kit works great and includes everything needed to get your bladder super clean. I also purchased Camelbak cleaning tabs to use every other cleaning to get my bladder really clean and tasting great. The cleaning kit is easy to use and the drying hanger is perfect for allowing the bladder to completely dry out in between uses, keeping down algae and bacteria that builds up if you don’t dry out your bladder completely.Overall great product.

    Good replacement!
Good replacement for my Camelbak! My previous one leaked and was soaking both the bottom of the bag and the small of my bag after seeping water through. I don’t have that issue anymore! Good durable material and still very easy to take out, fill, and pop back into the bag! Size is identical as to the previous one and weighs the same too. One-for-one at a really affordable price!

    Not leaking yet
The hydration bag appears to be well sealed so far and is not leaking yet. I mention this because so many of these bags I have owned wind up leaking through the bottom seal. It is also seems to be a bit smaller than other 70oz bags I have owned. What could be improved:- The screw threads on the bag cap feel too small, so I only have to turn maybe a half-turn to seal the cap. But this short thread makes it difficult to start the cap in the female thread, especially when the water level is close to the cap.. The screw thread should be longer.- The bag is extremely soft and flexible. As I usually fill it halfway and then stand it in the refrigerator until my next activity, it doesn’t stand up on its own half-filled and flops sloppily. I’d like to see the rear of the bank stiffened with a strip of firmer plastic to keep it standing straight. I may glue something to the bag to accomplish this.- The sip valve is over-designed. It is large and doesn’t fit through the usual loops on the straps of my hiking packs. I have had to attach a large D ring to the pack strap to fit it through so it hangs off of the strap. A simpler bite valve would be more than acceptable.- If the valve as presently implemented is retained, then it needs to open 180° (90° in each direction). I am right handed and normally tuck the sip hose through the left upper pack strap, which keeps it retained and out of the way. But when I do this the release lever is oriented to the REAR and is difficult for my right-hand to release and then twist the hose to get a drink, especially when I am jogging. I’ve relocated the hose from my right side of the pack to the left side to deal with this problem.. .

    Works well
Love the “valve” on the end to keep the water from accidentally leaking. Washed it with regular soapy water prior to first use and there was no plastic taste!

    Great Product
I was looking for a replacement bladder for my older Camelbak water carrier. The tube connection at the bottom of the bladder became brittle and snapped off, necessitating a replacement unit. The tube for this bladder connects to the bottom with an O-ring seal that snaps into place. This is a great design and makes storage and cleaning much easier. Before using my bladder, I heated a quart of water with 1/3 cup of vinegar to about 100-120F in the microwave and poured it into the bladder and sealed the lid and let it stand for 4 h or so. I then rinsed it out and did the same thing with a quart of water with 1/3 cop of baking soda. This will remove the buld of the impurities in the plastic that could give the water an off flavor. Thirdly, I then did the same thing with a quart of water and 1/3 cup or lemon juice. This is just an additional cleanup finishing step. All in all, the results were great. (NOTE: DON’T heat the water-filled bladder in the microwave, as there is a metal ring around the feed tube snap-on that will heat and could possible melt a hole in the bladder.)A TIP: Here’s a tip for connecting the feed tube and the lid. Moisten the O-rings with water to help lubricate the seal and make it easier to attach and close. A thin film of olive oil would work even better.I also would recommend getting the cleaner kit from Amazon (Michael Josh Hydration Water Bladder Cleaning Kit). It also contains a bladder insert that makes it easy to expand the unit for drying after cleaning. The insulated sleeve for the feed tube is also a good addition and is also available from Amazon (Hydration Pack Insulated Drink Tube Covers).

Bought this bladder along with a CKE brand bladder. See photos and videos.Pros:The mouthpiece does not leak at all, even when the valve is open. Nice wide chew on the mouthpiece. The connection to the bladder is wonderful – a really great button-release. Easy to remove for cleaning. The bladder material is supple, and construction seems durable.Cons:The filler cap and handle is very heavy, large plastic. I feel like it’s unnecessary weight, but it does mean that it’s wider for filling and the handle provides an okay grip on the weight of the full bladder. I would have preferred a lighter, smaller opening with a “ring” shaped handle rather than this giant piece of plastic. The valve on the mouthpiece is nice but I worry it will break over time. Not sure what the warranty would be on this.At first glance, this Unigear bladder is better than the similarly priced CKE brand bladder.Have not evaluated flavour and field function yet. Will update after a two day hike this weekend.

Bought for a long backcountry hike. It fills really easily with the large opening in a river or lake. No leaks and has a quick connect hose. I put a water filter inline by cutting the hose in two. No squeezing or time-consuming filtering required. The mouthpiece draws the water very nicely from the bag even with the filter inline. The material is not really thick but has held up so far.

Well worth the price, no need to buy a Camelback bladder that is twice the price. I use mine a ton.
