Great upgrade for an old laptop
I replaced an HDD with this SSD in an old Dell laptop. I cloned the operating system (Windows 10) over to the SSD with no problem and the drive worked great when I booted the machine. Boot speed is greatly improved and file transfers are by far faster. It bought the old laptop back to life and well worth the low cost.

Bought it for extra storage on a new Mini PC that only came with a 500GB SSD.I’m not saying it was me but I have a friend who ordered the 1TB version of this drive and when it got there after he installed it he realized they had accidently sent him a 2TB version. Small but cheap and fast
I upgraded my Dell Latitude E5420 with this drive. Replaced a 3200RPM WD that was painfully slow..On this old laptop with a core i5 processor and 16 GB of ram Linux Mint 22 runs perfectly fast. Great drive if you want to upgrade an old PC’s rotational drive to make it faster

I got this for an old Windows 10 PC that cannot be upgraded to Win 11 to setup dual boot to Linux. Works like a champ. I have bought 2 more to fix up my kids PCs also. A really good deal. (I have been using Verbatim disks since the 1980’s – floppies of course back then.)

Checking the Fit/Connection
Be sure that the terminal pins in the computer touch firmly those on the hard drive. I used a piece on cardboard inside the slot to get a snug fit and good connection. I had an issue where my computer wasn’t reading the new hard drive. Works great now.

Didn’t last 10 months
I bought one to replace a main drive of my laptop and loved the speed. I bought another for my 2nd laptop. But one last 3 months and the other lasted 10 months before no longer being able to boot or recover any data off them.
